I have a uline ice maker in the cockpit. I was wondering if there is a filter I can put in the line from the tank to the unit.

Thanks

Make sure it's silver impregnated so bacteria doesn't grow.

I like something like this one. http://www.icemachinesplus.com/everpure-ev9618-02.html?gclid=COOw2qCnlr4CFQqPfgod_4MAiw
these ice maker really gets little use which leaves water in the filter for a long time. You should change your refer filter often to ensure they stay free of funky bacteria. Check the label and see how often they recommend changing. Silver prevents bacteria growth which will allow the filter to remain in place longer without the worry of the funk. If you have not changed your fridge filter in a few years, change it, cut it open and see if it's funky. Silver was used in ship water tanks starting decades ago to stop bacteria growth. I purchased this from Amazon

Culligan IC-EZ-4 IC-EZ-4 EZ-Change Icemaker & Refrigerator Drinking Water Filter

It was so easy to install maybe took me 5 minutes. I mounted on the floor next to the battery bank. I wanted to wall mount but I didn't have a good spot. Level 4 filter is the best they make and I plan on changing the filter every season.

Ice tastes and smells great. I will post pics this week.
