Back through the Convention Center and had to show the Admiral why I dig the Viking sport fishers. The MTU was giant with well over 5,000 HP.

Thanks for pics!

Is the plexi cockpit floor just for show? Great idea to keep an eye on the engines (you could even put carpet over it and easily pull it back to peek at engines).

That was on a Yanmar prototype boat. Actually a pretty nice boat and the deck was clear to see the pretty engines. If they mass produce this boat the deck would be solid.

I'm putting plexi hatches in my cockpit!

Music to my ears. Another CSR member (Cincy Aquaholic) has been texting me Miami Boat show pics.

He got a ride on a diesel 40ft Cobalt....$700,000. Said it was amazing.

Thanks for the great pictures. I had no idea these boat shows were such a production. We had just had ours in San Diego, and there were about 50 boats and a small tent with some hot dogs and popcorn. Ok, i am joking, but much smaller than this show.

Is that you on the SR, 450? Do you recall what they were listing that boat for? What were your general impressions of the boat?

Just got back home from the show. What a great time. It's definitely worth a weekend trip. Here a bunch of pics I took.

More to come.

I know it's the wrong brand, but this is kind of a cool insight into what it's like to set up for just three boats in the convention center: Miami Boat Show Setup Time Lapse. You can actually see the Sea Rays just behind the Meridians in this video from a couple years ago. Sea Ray had 19 boats in the convention center this year. Ken and I were briefly discussing how to get a time lapse of the entire Collins in-water show. I's got my wheels turning for next year....

Thanks for the pics. I may have to put this on the list for next winter.

My favorite boat in the realm reason was the SR 470. Loved that layout. I like what Monterey has done as well. They have those contempory edgy lines I like.

Wow, thanks for sharing. Great video.
