The 2014 NFL Playoff Thread.

I hate the seahawks, I hate the refs, I hate that last throw, I hope denver wins.

Sherman is a punk, should be fined. Embarrassing he is from Stanford. Even the Seachicken fans should be embarrassed.

Class act Jim H. Sherman should take some notes.

Can't take anything away from the Hawks they did play a good game. Just got a little extra help from the 13th player.

I humbly apologize for saying Harbaugh has no class. His post game interview was all class. Great game.

Ken - nice avatar.

What a game to watch. All through the first half I had the feeling that we were going to lose. Only in the third quarter did the Hawk offense come alive and start moving the ball. But even well into the 4th quarter my gut told me we were going to lose. What a surprise that the one Seahawk that everyone loves to hate was the one who saved the game for the Hawks. Thank you Richard Sherman for being such an athlete.

So the two teams I predicted are headed to the Superbowl. Now I'll let the cat out of the bag....while we were in Vegas last week I made a $20 bet that Denver would win the Superbowl. I really do not think the Hawks can beat them. If the Hawks do win, I'm out $20. If the Hawks lose I'm $40 ahead. The way I figure, either way I come out a winner! It definitely would be worth losing that $20 bet to have the Hawks win the Superbowl, but hey, I'm a realist.

Humph, don't take it so hard. I look forward to seeing your new avatar, but heck it's only for 2 weeks.

The Google ref was for the trashing of PEyton by Irsay.

Anyone that can read with comprehension the the comments of Irsay, is a true fan, and not trying to sell articles on sensationalism can see it is not all the media made it out to be. As a Colts fan first and an NFL fan second it makes perfect sense.

Polian put all the money on Manning and his receivers on the flawed premise he could out score anyone and had a undersized, cheap, no name defense. You can make the playoffs that way and you might just win one, but Polian proved you can't win several and that is truly the biggest prize as NE fans are quick to remind us.

Let's look at the quote, instead of interpretation.

“We’ve changed our model a little bit, because we wanted more than one of these,”

“(Tom) Brady never had consistent numbers, but he has three of these. Pittsburgh had two, the Giants had two, Baltimore had two and we had one. That leaves you frustrated,”

First, the word Manning was never said.

In the press conference firing Polian, Irsay said we would never be that unbalanced in the future.

I like an owner that wants to win, not just make a profit like say, Cincinatti.

So focus on the Pats issues and quit trying to make something out of nothing...

The refs gave two critical turnovers that could have change the game completely. Yes the Hawks played well but they would have lost had they given up the ball at the one and the correct call made on the punt.

To bad a win is tainted by bad play calls. No refs help = no SB!

When my GB lost to SF I threw no sour grapes but not so with this game. The better team will be sitting home on SB Sunday.

The dirty girl gets to go to the prom.

Mike, all my post regarding the Colts are in response to your little friends posts.

I think my response to post #316 says it all..

I have always thought that blaming a loss on the refs was bush league. You had other opportunities to win the game but you didn't take advantage or your couldn't. Bad calls were made on both side, that turnover was more glaring. If I believed in blaming games on the refs, our Seahawks would be Super Bowl Champions over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl IX.

I'm stoked the Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl......now I need to find tickets and a place to crash! GO HAWKS!!!

Then lets take the officials off the field all together. I will not defend my position as it needs no defense. I have stated the Hawks played well. They may deserve the win but it's tainted isn't it? The calls are glaring. An open field punt with a clear hit on the standing leg and who was watching the play at the goal line. Isn't that what they are paid to do?

So where were the bad calls on the hawks.

Please don't transfer my ire onto the hawks, this is a ref issue. BTW Sherman is still a jerk.

I agree, the turn over's by Kap pretty much made a bad officiating crew moot. Seahawks deserved the win.

I still think Sherman's tirade was idiotic at best, and inexcusable. But Peyton Manning's nickname is Karma, and he will shove the ball up Sherman's rear in two weeks, count on it.
3 Kap turnovers sealed the deal. Refs continue to suck in most every game. Too fast for the old farts out there. I am bitter about the way it finished, especially with Sherman and his antics. He needs to be fined for his on and off the field behavior.
