Is Jonathan ( X ) buying another boat?

Or is this another " Wild & Crazy Guy"??

Its gaz, and i inderstand better to have boat then nothimg :)

Sorry to sound harsh, but if you use REAL english, rather than dude-speak or text-talk, you are more likely to be taken seriously and get a serious answer. Proper sentence construction might help, too.

If we can't understand what you are asking because you can't be troubled to communicate clearly, why should we be expected to put the effort into trying to figure out what you want?

If your cncerned about how much fuel it will use...............You cant afford it

Interesting question you pose, this is what I'm going to do...I'm going to tear it down and move it to the other side. Same thing with the other part. A lot of work but getting away will be really relaxing at the boat.

Woody,
Are you sure that you want to do that? If you just swap it out with the conjunctive operator, then invert the two I think that you & the OP will find that it works much better.

My guess, since he's from Montreal, English is a second language. French being his primary. Just sayin'

Welcome to the CSR group. Don't get scared off by the harsh introduction from a few others. Sometimes there are a few with English as their first language that get a few early shots below the belt the first few times.

I have a 97 330 which is a different boat from yours and I think its actually a bit smaller than yours. I think that the 5.7 engines will be too small for that boat. Maybe OK if you are going short distances or spending a lot of time off plan at less than 10 mpg or so.

My fuel consumption on plane at about 30mph is about 1 mpg (Canadian gallons). If you are too young to remember gallons, then that is about 260 litres per 100km or 2.6 litres per KM. At our prices here in Ontario, that works out to about CAD$1200 to fill from empty. They are thirsty boats.

For future posts I suggest trying to keep your questions focused and not too general. There is a huge amount of experience on CSR and the vast majority of us will help as much as we can if the questions are clear. And post pictures of your boat.

Good luck with the search. Remember that its very hard to sell a boat, especially this time of year. You have a lot of bargaining power so make your initial offer on the very low side of what is fair. And get a professional marine survey before you buy, and make an offer conditional on a good survey. The repairs on hidden issues can be easily more than the price you pay for the boat.

Sorry to everybody, english is not my fist language.. and after i read my post it was not clear, but now i feel like a unwanted in this forum. answer like that``

the real question is v-drive it s real more expensive on gaz than a bravo 1..2.3 ??

anyway i buy the boat,
thx K-DUb i m quebecois from montreal :), and will enjoy my sea ray

Stick around Comix - you'll be fine. Some are just kidding, some probably didn't realize that Montreal isn't a suburb of Tamp FL...!

V-Drives ARE less efficient / slower than I/O's, but that doesn't mean they're a bad choice. Lower maintenance costs very often offset the additional fuel burn.

Why beat up us Tampa guys? Nobody here posted anything negative?

This forum is similar to a men's locker room......loud and rowdy at times. If someone slaps you around, laugh it off or smack them back.

The "if you have to ask you can't afford it" comment is an old saying down here......a bit of a joke.

Congratulations. Post pictures when you get a chance. The fuel consumption is worse than Bravo drives and the top speed is lower. But, the annual maintenance is quite a bit lower, including winterization costs. Most of us that have had both prefer inboard vdrives over I/O's in the larger boats.

Geez guys,
A little joking around and we are ruffians now? I always joked around with my friend Jonathan about his grammar, or lack there of. So did MANY people here. The problem is that this is an English based forum. Minor grammatical errors are not a problem. But people should try and make their questions readable! When I read that first post I couldn't understand it at all. It just reminded me of these guys:

So, no harm intended and take it easy on us "tough guys" too!! Haha!!

I didn't realize he was from Montreal, and honestly it didn't read (to me) as if he was a non-native english speaker. It just looked sloppy and incomplete ("My friend told me it will be a lot more expensive on gaz , like 30% more" - 30% more than what?).

Sorry if I came off as overly harsh. Too many people have gotten too used to sloppy communication, and it's hard to play "guess what my question is" all the time, no matter what language it's in.

I have family in Montreal - I could hear his accent as I read his first post, but he even admitted that his question was incomplete.

Maybe he wasn't scared off. Diversity improves the quality of this site, just as sloppy & lazy communication diminishes it.

Bucit: I wasn't picking on Tampanians, honest! (well maybe I am by calling them Tampanians...)
