Whats your Boats name and what does it mean to you

"Knot So Fast" After many years of runabouts and high powered ski boats it was time to relax and just cruise. No need to say anything more.Bob

We just bought a new to us 1982 31' Vanguard beautiful boat and I am a huge Miami Vice fan so of course I had to name her "St Vitus Dance"

Pisces' Dream III - The Admiral and I are both February born.

"Prestige Worldwide" Named after the fictional company from the movie Step Brothers. Five of us brought the boat up from Kentucky Lake to Cincinnati and collectively the guys came up with the name during the trip.....it goes along with the "boats and hoes" song from the movie. Very childish overall, but for a bunch of mid 30's to early 40's guys what else would you expect. This being the 3rd summer of use it has become a fixture for fun on the Ohio river.

I saw your boat at MH....beautiful Sea Ray!

"Sammy Jo" - named after our only daughter Samantha. The hailing port of Lincoln, England does raise some questions from other boaters on Lake Lanier, Georgia.

I have had friends suggest that I change the name of my boat to "Fox-sea lady" due to my typical crew on board with me...But I would have issues hailing the Coast Guard with that name.

"Mayday, mayday, mayday, US Coast Guard this is the Fox-sea lady"...I would never hear the end of it.

Stressless....it's the frame of mind I'm always in when I'm either hangin on the docks or running up and down the Ohio here in Cinti.....
Prestige...looked like you were having a "Boatload" of fun at the Pirate tie-up over the weekend, lol...df

South Bound. I live up here in the cold north.(OHIO). Hope to some day retire to somewhere warm. New Orleans is my first choice.

Our first Cruiser was a 28' Carver named "Escape Pod" it was a place to escape from our hectic lives and as sci-fi fans we liked the tie-in. Lots of fun "jettison the Escape Pod" jokes. We sold the "Escape Pod" and purchased a 390EC it was apparent from the beginning that this big girl could only be the "Mothership" since she was so much larger. And now we use "return to the Mothership" and when she is at anchor we say the "Mothership" is in stationary/geosynchronous/etc orbit, so we still get to have our silly sci-fi references.

we chose 'Dolce Far Niente'
it's Italian, and loosely translated means 'sometimes it's nice to do nothing'.
one of our favorite wines is Far Niente, and we saw the phrase and thought it fits what we do on the boat.

Nice name but that is a mouthful when you are calling the coast guard or a buddy. May want to consider a subtitle.. "wine cruiser" Hope you and the admiral have a great summer on the new boat!!!

A subtitle is a really good idea! The admiral has said it's a lot for the radio as she's the communicator.

We wanted a single name this time so we went with "Mirage'" meaning: optical illusion sometimes at sea . Or unattainable which we thought she was!!!

the dinghy is called "Flip Flop" since we need it to take the dog to do his business ,if that makes sense?

I'm a stoner.
