Well today brought good news and bad. Found out my second cousin and my uncle both died of strokes today. My second cousin was getting ready for my dads funeral last week and had a stroke last Friday evening. They took her off the ventilator today. My uncle was dads best friend and my moms sisters husband. He had his stroke this morning and there was no brain activitly immediately after. Both him and my dad were pronounced at 6:00 pm 10 days apart. My dad and uncle were in the Navy together and have been close since. Unlce Ted was a patriot like my dad. Everything I wrote about my dad in my tribute could be said about uncle Ted.
I will miss him greatly. My aunt and my mom will stay at my moms house for awhile to mourn their husbands death together.
This evening my daughter called and gave us great news. Her and her husband will give us grandchild #12 (not all by them) this coming spring. It was good to end the day with that news.
With all that has gone on the last couple days I wanted to have some ME time so I went out tonight and ran the new fuel line, retorqued the manifold bolts and started Old Skool for the first time in 2 seasons. Absolutely wonderful noise arose from the bilge as the engine came alive and ran flawlessly. All the way through the power/RPM range. What a sweet sound she makes at 5000RPM. (short ramp up of course).
Time for bed now. Lets see what tomorrow brings......
God bless my shipmates on CSR.
