Just got back from Fantasy Fest in Key West. Flew down in my buddy's private plane for 2 days of drunken debauchery, in an adult kind of way. I have about 100 pics, but the only legal ones are of the airplane.
Friday morning, we'll be heading over to Apalach in our 340 for the weekend. The Scipio Creek Marina will be housing a couple of dozen of us. Pics to follow. I've been wrestling over how to take the dinghy. The motor goes on the floor in the settee area of the cockpit. This time, the dinghy's there too. I'll probably drag the dinghy home, though.
Does it hurt an inflatable with a hard, inflatable bottom to drag it behind the boat at 25 mph for a couple of hundred miles (70 miles one way, this trip). I take everything out and the oars off. The only concern is stretching the bottom material at the transom. It looks like it could cup up and scoop water behind the transom. I guess it shouldn't do that as long as the bottom is well inflated and everything's out.
Next weekend, I'll be heading out for a new liver.
