Source for stainless steel engine vents

Thanks Jason.

Still manufacturing these? I haven't read the whole thread - is there a site somewhere I can order?

I discovered last weekend the source of a lot of water in my bilge - wicking in from poorly/not at all sealed side vents. I need to measure, but these look great.

Hi rcon
Yes, take a picture and post it or email me at info@vikingbay.co (that's .co not .com).
I have a sample picture up at http://www.vikingbay.co/products---marine-accessories but I need to update that picture to reflect this final design

A new batch is coming out soon. For those that missed the last order let me know if you're interested.

Thanks Jason. You still need to update your sig pic to show them off :)
Can I have your permission to use your pic on VikingBay's facebook page?

Sure Todd, No worries you free to use any of my photos as you wish.

Will do I'll be making a new sig pic for 2013 soon...

The latest batch is done. I've shipped out a couple of orders and have 12 left over and available.

6 left now out of this batch. I'll be gathering more interest now if anyone wants these remaining 6 or get on the list for the next batch.
Thanks for looking.

We just completed a video about installation.
Have a look.

Todd,

You forgot the part where you drop the vent directly into the water and you stare at the ripples like it's going to surface... Yeah, That was 30 minutes of dive time I didn't plan on... I found it and I do love these vents though...

If you are hesitant on these don't be! I know the price is not $19.99 cheap china crap plastic parts. These will never have to be replaced again and will always look great!

Yes, I would buy them again! If I had another boat that needed them!

Thanks for the plug Jason! I'm glad you like them. Interest is building again. I think most are starting to thaw out and thinking about working on their boats.

There is an interest in those who own the 270 models to get a stainless steel vent covers that are designed to keep water out of the bilge than the current design that allows rain water to pour into the boats.

Ron Mason

Thanks Ron
I don't have an up close image of your vents, but they're probably similar to those on my 260DA. I haven't begun to redesign this type yet. I have a couple ideas for all vents that would allow water(spray or rain) to enter the bilge through the vent. I'm currently in process of designing three new types of vents (common to Sea Ray, Bayliner's and others) the I have promised others to be ready to bid by mid-April. When those are done I can look into new designs and expanding our line.

Send me some pics of your boats vents or just post them here for others to chime in on.
Thanks for looking

I wanted you guys to know that I've had several people contact me about making a stainless steel replacement of the slimline vent Bayliner, Sea Ray and many other boat manufacturers use.

Here is the vent I'm talking about.

Here is a rendering of what I'll be doing. The vanes will be flush to the face and made of 16GA 316 polished stainless.

Let me know if you're interested. I will get some pricing figured out by the end of next week, but I anticipate they will be very close if not the exact same price as the ones below at $125.00ea.
