Well I have been doing quite a few changes to my boat and I also know we've got quite a few of us on here now. I don't really consider what m doing a "restoration" so instead of doing a restore thread I thought I'd start this and hopefully we can share some good ideas. Here's a few of the things I've been up to.

First was painting he cabin. It has made a big difference with brightness and updating.

I also built and painted this shelf. It's worked out great.

I replaced the old table with this cherry veneer table.

As you can see in these pics I also replaced the carpet with hardwood teak and holly.

Replaced all of the old camper style lights with these all LED lights

Installed blue LEDs

Thanks to Quints wonderful suggestion, I installed these stainless cup holders

I installed this L lounger found on Craigslist from a 1999 370EC and the pedestal table purchased from eBay.

You can also see in the pics I removed the rails and teak from the stern and gunwales and had brushed anodized aluminum pieces custom made to finish it off.

Current projects in the works include removing pin striping, which is done but the top side still needs to be buffed and polished. The other exciting one is the canvas. Our canvas guy starts this week replacing all canvas with the tan Sea Ray color canvas. We are very excited about that project. That's all for now. Please feel free to leave comments or suggestions. More importantly, lets see what you're doing with yours!!!! Its time for some new ideas!!!! :)

When you changed out the lights to LED did you have to do anything speical? I would like to do the same with my cockpit area and head?

Nothing special. Got replacement fixtures on eBay and just wired them up to existing wires and mounted with supplied brackets. Very easy and very bright!!!

I meant to add this to my question, which company did you get the LEDs from?

I got them from eBay. Sorry, I don't recall the brand. I can check next weekend. However, if you search 12v led lights on eBay, there's thousands to choose from.

Canvas guy started on the new canvas. Hope to get some pics this weekend. Any other weekender owners out there?? I'd love to get some new ideas!! The other thing I did recently was painted the helm vinyl tan. I will try to get a pic of that this weekend too.

Send him to mine.... I need side curtains after a goose got into mine and messed them up pretty bad.

That's terrible!!!! I wish I could. He does great work and is crazy cheap. Full canvas is gonna cost me $1,200. He's retired and does it on the side as his retirement gig. So how did the stupid bird get in your boat?? We're you in there when it happened??

The boat was in Richmond, I was working in Williamsburg. Never really did figure out how the bird got in

Boat is looking great shaun, didnt get the ok for a stripper pole did you.

Not yet, but I'm still working on it!!! Can't wait to get my canvas done...yous was my inspiration for the color change, I love how it looks! Ever get your helm done? Have any pics to post from your updates??

If that isn't a restoration its doing a very good impersonation of one lol. Seriously, looks VERY nice, I like the cabin sole especially. Someday I'll do mine in hardwood.

Lol, Thanks. I just don't feel like I'm qualified to do a "restoration". But most of the ideas I've gotten have come from here, so I thought it would be good to share some of them back! Got any new ideas for me???

Now you've got me hunting an L shaped lounge..... Damn you:grin:

We say every time we're at the boat that it's the best thing we've done to the boat! Good luck with your search. If you can find one you won't regret it!!!

The boat looks great!
I actually kind of like the classic wood look in my cabin and the relatively small amount of teak on the step pad, rail, and other pieces in the cockpit.
But I absolutely love your Dinette table, the shelf over the galley, and the L-shaped seat in the cockpit.
I don't think I have the room to do the seat in the cockpit, but I would love to do the shelf and table. I just wish I were better at working with wood.
I'll have to practice next winter.
I like the LED lights too! They probably use a lot less power.

Thanks! Do you have a picture of your Current seating configuration? Just wondering how it differs from the weekender. I'm not a good woodworker normally either. The idea for the shelf literally came to me in a dream. Woke up and did it the next day. The dinette table was bought on the Internet from a table top website. Just bought a new top and used old hardware. I think with shipping it was about $125.00.

After 4 hour of lost sleep last night..... Still no lounge! I did find a shop that will custom build me one

I did some searching too and came up empty. The best things come when you least expect them. I wasn't looking when I stumbled across mine. Just keep looking!!

Shaun, I found that SeaRay installs them on the new boats but with a drop down back rest and on the wrong side of the boat. Still hopeful
