Oh my goodness... how is that for your running gear?

its awful..... that is just the little stuff, just outside my slip was an 18" diameter tree. The heavy rains wash that stuff into the river, it dumps into the bay and consequently into our marina. It was high tide when I took that picture today. When the tide goes out most of that stuff will go away until the tide comes back in.

We boat all year long but in the winter and spring its a lot slower going. You need to go slow and keep a sharp eye out for logs and dead heads. They are all over in the sound from the winter storms.

We were out all day yesterday went through Commencement Bay to Vashon Island dropped 3 crab pots fished till 3:30 didn't see anything in the water all day it is all washed ashore. 10 nice dungeness 6.5" to 8" size few nice 7" red rocks. What marina is your boat moored at?

Tyee.

Sounds like you guys timed it perfect, the incoming tide pushed all the logs to the shore. I'll bet when the tide went out it was an obstacle course in the bay.

How about some photos???? My wife and I went out yesterday, also, it was really nice.......we were on the lakes, Union and Washington, that's where we moor, just running around, it was fun.....SAM_3104.jpgSAM_3107.jpg

Bob, we were in Seattle this weekend and yesterday was BEAUTIMOUS!!! GW and her daughter went shopping for wedding dresses (daughter is getting married in Sept) so I updated my man card and walked the docks in south Lake Union for a couple of hours, then hit West Marine and Arm Chair Sailor. Great way to spend a day in sunny Seattle.

/Nice crabs and nice pics. That area on the Montlake Cut is where I stood to watch the Opening Day Parade a few years ago. Nice bunch of fiberglass going by!
