Nice job!
I'm guessing you first stripped the woodwork in the cockpit?

No just sanded the big stuff down
the small trim I removed and sanded out
all was done with Watco teak oil
still a work in process but still got her on the water when time and work allow

Todays project
Since I don't really know what the aft cooler and battery covers are supposed to look like I made them look like I wanted them to :smt001

makes the rest of the upholstry look like crap....but that will change

Great job!! Looks like this canoe found the right owner. It doesn't matter if you don't replace everything like original. It matters that it's functional for you. I raised my seats by 6 inches, installed the radio in the glove box, and lenghtened the swim platform.

thank you for the kind words
I have decided to make it what I want rather than what someone else thinks it should be.
the wife wants to put a back to back fold down seat like yours on the port side(actually both...but I wont sit still for it...I like the factory pilot seat lol) so a new riser and upholstry will be coming soon. Got a soft spot in the floor over the fuel tank so that and carpet are happening next spring. Got an idea for that I may play with.

Its looking a lot better nice job done on it !!. .

I kept slipping on the hatch covers every time I set the anchor so I vinyled them in the same color as the interior. I posted a story about sliding down the cuddy and onto the dock after the admiral and her friend tried a new wax without letting me know about it.

Not original but it looks good and is functional.

been at it again

Keep plugging away at it. It's looking fine to me.

WATCO is some awesome stuff. I use it to protect my spearguns. Nice job on the wood restore.
