Fight with the admiral, what's your sign?

Cancer here....not sure what it means in terms of this thread other than crabs live in water.

She never could cook and I am excellent at it!
We shared the laundry details (though I did all the ironing)
There was one room in the house that she was GREAT in (Kids B-days = 12/05/05 and 12/06/06 :wow: get it? )

I failed and it sucks!

I didn't know, sorry the kids are the ones that suffer. Ask me I am one. Don't look at it as failing! it takes 2

I said that because we split up a year and a half ago, I sued her for custody of the kids and won, then I let her come back home. The allowing her back in thing is where I failed. But thanks for the support!

P.S. The boat is here and in the water. The weather hasn't cooperated much so far so I've only had it out once so far, hopefully much more time to be spent on her soon.

That sucks 4boss,and i can tell you miss your kids alot ,i did.the fishing will help a bit, keep your chin up i am sure the kids will come through ok and i bet they respect what you have tried to do .most dont even get that second chance.Oh LEO by the way.

<--- Cancer The Crab. On boats and being on the water I see it this way. I was a boater before I took on the relationship with the woman, and I'm still a boater while she's in my life and if she doesn't want to be into boating with me, she picked the wrong guy.

For me boating and being on the water, isn't an option its a need as real and compelling as food for me. Boating takes a large part of my recreational Budget to support and means I do not do other things because of that passion. If I have a week off, I'm not going to hit a cruise ship, I'm going to hit my own decks. I'm not going to mow the grass, I'm going to go clean my bilge and paint the generator.

I'm a single guy and only date women that "get it." Life is too short to not be on the water.

:wow:
You can cook....learn to do your own wash. Get a bigger boat. Sometime it is less
aggravation. beside there are more fish in the sea!!:smt038 Ask me!:smt001

You're absolutely right!!!

Sorry to hear that... I too am going admiral-less this year looks like...:smt013

Oh well, her loss, but now I've gotta train someone new. (the last was a great first mate, she knew what to do, and when and wasn't bothered to pitch in and help).

And you too are absolutely right!!!

Went and winterized the boat today :smt089 the new admiral said she wished she could have been there with me to say goodbye to the boat for the winter together! Although it was not the summer I had anticipated aboard her, I still have created some great memories this year. She claims that her favorite weekend with me was the weekend we spent on the boat. Still have to work on her knowing what to and when to do it (we never left the dock :wow: any of the times she was aboard) as she has not been around boats too much, but she loves it and I know she will be easily trainable! :smt038:smt038

Good for you... get her trained and move on with your life... you bought the boat to be a new adventure and you need to make it one. Good luck and happy for "the new admiral".

I am Libra and the Admiral is a Sagitarius....when it's good its Real good
but when it's bad......storm warning

We were both on-board the same page when deciding about a first boat.
26 years of marriage tends to do that to people.
I'm an Aquarius, my wife is a Cancer.
She was born with a Caul. Some say such a person will never drown & preserved it brings mariners good luck.

just move on, it takes a while to get it right after # 3 wives 4 kids i finally got it right number 3 is a sweet heart and loves boating and not faking it :)

The "new" admiral (we just celebrated 1 year together) has been great in more ways than one! She just asked if I could get her a shirt that says "Galley Wench"!!! What more could I ever ask for?! She's seemingly perfect in many ways, especially aboard! The saga of the kids continues, however it is coming to a close soon! I will update and explain it all once that has happened! Thanks all for the amazing support!

We have a 1984 270 with v8s that has been re-powered somewhere along the way! There are not to many twins never mind v8s out there. You are going love the beam in this boat. We have work very hard and still are but the boat turns heads....you are going love this boat. You can go to my profile and find a photo bucket link if you like. Although it needs to be updated.

Welcome ....Mike

Awesome! I do love her, she's been great thus far! You're the only other one I have ever seen with twin 8's! We have the same vessel for the most part, I haven't done any updates to mine, she's all original. She lived her life in a covered slip and in-door heated storage and I get many compliments on how nice she is. When I went looking I specifically wanted an 85-88 270 and this was the nicest one I found for sale. This guy had more in maitenance for the last 2 seasons than what I paid for her!!! He definately took care of her. I bought her in March '11 and had her delivered in May '11 and in the fall of '10 he had both the outdrives rebuilt ( I have all the recipts) and the motors have 1050 and 925 hrs on them and run excellent! I truly love the styling and everything about her and have no plans to change anything aboard except maybe to have the upholstry re-done in the cockpit as it has a few (very) small seperations at the seems. Noticable to me, but most don't even see it so I'm not too sure if I will bother until it becomes more of an issue. The interrior is absolutely immaculate!!! Original, but it looks as tough it has never been set foot in!

WOW!!!! I'm rambliing!! So excited to have another "friend"wih the exact same boat!!! Hopefully we can exchange stories and how to's!

FINALLY!!!! 3 years later and I won't even freak you out with the cost but the court got it right! For the third custody order in a row I have sole custody and as of today the kids are home with me, FOR GOOD!!!! Looking to be a GREAT year!

Omg argue I would not call it that I would call it short of a battle over the 480 from a 320 sun dancer ....., and were both Aquarius .... Water signs baby both of us ..... She flipped out on me ..... But soon was on board and still calls it my biggest decision that she's wasn't a part of. She loves the boat though
4boss .... I commend you it's been awhile since you posted to this .
