New Section Now OPEN

This is a new section I have been thinking about. A place for those "other people" to hang out. Lots of people come here looking for info on getting into a Sea Ray so here is a section where those commonly asked questions and discussions can reside. Sound good?

Not sure I understand the need for this section, as there are already several good sections to pigeon-hole a question.

Hi,

New to CSR, We purchased a 2008 31' Sundancer w/ axuis in June. This is our second Sea Ray. We owned a 2000 before. Both my wife and I pilot the boat and we have had a great summer with it. I am still trying to figure out all the added features with the new computer? But, docking is no longer a problem.

ImpulseIII told me on 11/11/2008 he was done with CSR. I did not pay attention to the date of his reply on this ("New Section Now OPEN") post, saw his reply, thought it was after he told me he was done and replied. My mistake.

Four Suns, thanks for the reminder...like I said "I am trying to become more of a reader", the key word here is trying.

Donald46, welcome aboard, glad to see someone else chose to name their boat after a lady in the family.

Meh...Ill still be in the holding tank corrupting the place.

I am in the process of purchasing my first sea ray. Its a 1988 390EC

On the searay site, trying to find manuals, when I select the year, 1988, I do not get the model listed. Any ideas on where I can go to get manuals for this thing?

Survey is scheduled for 8/31 and if it passes with no major issues, she will be mine. Anything I need to look out for?

 BOAT ENVY??? IS BIGGER BETTER?? CAN I DOCK HER ALONE???CAN I HIRE A ALL GIRL CREW WITHOUT TAN LINES??:thumbsup:

You some times have to look at all the years it was made to find what you are looking for not sure if this is the same boat but they have an 85 listed.

Looking at 2001 41' sundancer for first boat.
gas or diesels????
any help appreciated

You should post the same topic only in one thread. People become short tempered if they see it multiple times... I responded in your other thread.

maybe people with issues...
I don't see where it hurts to ask the same question more than once....might get a better answer in a different section
most here are very friendly and helpful

There are no "DUMB QUESTIONS" just people seeking advice and help. These boats we own are expensive toys and I agree with "moparlvr4406" that almost all of the folks here are friendly and give great advice either through their hands on experience in the Marine Trades or from their personal DIY experiences. This forum and the good folks on it has saved me a lot of hard earned cash and made my boating a joy. My thanks to all who take the time to contribute their knowledge and experiences.

When I was younger and the kids were in Jr/Sr High, I had a 210 BR which is close to your 210 SLX. What can I say ? Simply an outstanding boat and terrific fun machine for the whole family. Because that boat was so great I am here many years later looking for another Sea Ray that's old, fat, slow and comfortable like me ! If you are young and/or have a young family I really can't imagine a better boat.Norris
