Official Searay 200 Thread

I am told it's original. They have some wear and small tears that we're repaired but are in great shape.

yes, I have the 1991 cuddy version of that boat, and my interior vinyl matches yours exactly.

That said, this boat looks awesome for 19 years old. Congratulations on this beauty!

Thanks. I do get lots of compliments by folks on the river. Classic Sea Ray style. You gotta love it. Stands out amongst all the flashy graphics ski boats with obnoxious stereos blasting.

Here's my 1989!! Love this boat! Had it 3.5 years....plan on keeping her a while. Only with there were more/closer lakes in Eastern New Mexico. Oh well.....

Looks like mine too! Enjoy the boat - looks to be in great shape.

Thanks. I have lots more cleaning to do before it goes on the water again. Love your boat. Very nice!

I looked around a bunch of threads and different forums looking for the answer about hull construction on a 2002 200 BR - specifically wondering about where wood is used. Finally emailed Sea Ray for the answer. Figured I'd post it here in case someone else search for this at some point. Here's what I got back:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Sea Ray 200 Bow Rider. This model does have the full fiberglass cockpit floor liner that eliminates the wood floor and stringers. There is a special treated wood panel used in the transom, which is sealed in place with fiberglass and resin. This is still the current process for the transom, as we have found that the treated wood provides the best support for the transom area and there have been no issues with this material. "

My boat came with an old fire extinguisher that rolled around in the side pockets. I want to mount a new one but I am looking for a good place to mount it. Any ideas guys? I would like to put it on the floor to the right of the drivers seat out of the way. Can I put small screws in the floor? Or is there a better place?

I don't have a clear flat spot like that to mount it. Mine is a 91 bowrider.

I was interested in replacing the festoon lighting with LED bulbs. How do I get the plastic cover off? Do they turn or pop off. Also, any thoughts on where to get them, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I never did. I just lays it the side stow for now. Workin' on the stereo, then the ext. and other things.

I installed the radio in the glove box and you can see the front speakers. The old boats had lots of flat panels to work with. Seem like everything now a days is contoured or has raised panels.
Good luck with the radio install and post some pictures.

Just bought a 2004 200 Select and am looking to upgrade stock speakers and add an amp and subwoofer. I have a few questions I hope someone can answer: where's the best place to mount a fairly large amp? 19"x8"x2" Same question for mounting a bazooka 10" sub.
Is there a stock amp or is there just the Clarion CD Player?
Any way to tell which RCA outputs go to front and which to back/sub?

Thanks!

HeyTbone,

Congrats on the purchase. I'd look at the area under the stereo over the cooler tracks.
