I finally broke down and bought a Macbook. I have about 50g of boating video I can now edit.
Here's a little tour of the lake I keep the 290 on. The tune is one of mine. Feel free to post up your videos.

Quint4....your name is missing on the back of your boat in the videos?....Mike.

Mike, I put the name on in August....the videos were from June & July.
Keep them coming guys.

Video and pictures from 2009 Club Sea Ray Atlantic City trip. Filming starts in Point Pleasant with Mike (Turtle Tone) following me in his old 290. Trip continues to an undisclosed location where we spent the night. The next morning we proceeded south to AC, but we had one boat break down. You will have to watch to figure out who. Some of the video is a little rough. My (then) 11 yr old liked to play with the zoom while under way.. Enjoy!

PS it is in High Def.

could you guys post what camera you taking your vids with?

The 2009 video that I posted was taken with a Sony High Def model that wrote to mini DVD's. I don't remember the model. I was very happy with picture quality, but lost too many movies when the DVD failed to close properly. I gave it to a friend and replaced with a Sony HDR-XR500 which writes to a hard drive or to a USB. (I never tried to write to the USB). Both cameras create M2ts AVCHD files. The files are very large. Windows 7 / Media Player will play these files natively, prior to Win 7, I needed to use Sony's PMB software or use Pinnacle to convert them. The image stabilization on my old cam corder was good, the new one new is amazing! One of the nice features on these cameras is that they have a view finder which helps to rest on your eye/head when filming while moving.

I used this site to help me with my decision. The Sony was in the top 5 when I bought it. My camera is about 2 years old now. Newer models have trumped it
