Seeking portlight latch/dog

I need to replace a portlight latch/dog on one of my Bomar portlights. Anyone know where I can find these? Bomar does not list these parts on their web site.

Maybe Flounder Pounder might have what you're looking for.:huh:
 
FP would've been my guess, too.

Try contacting (calling, if you can) Bomar directly. I don't know if it would help, but that would be the route I would take.

Thanks for the help! I did think of checking eBay myself as well, but unfortunately, all they list are the dogs for the hatches. The one I am looking for is for the elyptical portlight (Bomar Classic Series, I think). They are little black latches that rotate on the screw they mount with.
 
Gotcha. I was helping my marina clean out a storage section of their warehouse last week and watched them throw out a box with a bunch of assembled portholes. I wish I would have known I would have sent you a bag full!

Too bad! I can't believe they threw out all those portholes - those things are expensive! There's a marine/boat dismantler not too far away from where I live that I may have to stop by. It's amazing what one can find at those places. I better leave the check book and credit card at home that day. ((~;

Ah, a voice from the past! Todd, good to hear from you! I'd taken a hiatus from the list for a variety of reasons, none of which were list-related. Anyway, good to see that there are still familiar faces around.

As to my local dealer, they folded. )~; Then the one in the Bay Area folded. Now, the nearest Marine Max around that still has a service depart is located all the way down south in San Diego. It's a real shame. I am hoping to get a response back from Bomar directly. I dropped their customer service dept. a line.

PS: Todd, in a completely unrelated matter.... I have yet to sign up to the list you started re the trip this summer. Since we won't be able to make it, I didn't want to start drooling all over my keyboard, reading all of the group's exploits. ((~;
