2010 - 2011 Snow thread. Pictures Please.

Not sure of the temp.....cold  We keep the pool open year around. Kim's on the pool committee & she keeps it pristine

My wife is on the pool committee here, unless it is time to open and close it. I am on the boat committee.

It's snowing like crazy at the moment and I'm very happy to be off duty!! They're gonna be busy busy busy.

Your boxer likes the snow? We can barely get ours to stay out long enough to do his business.......he hates the cold.

My boxer is a nut!! As long as there is a ball involved I'm pretty sure she would romp in molten lava. There is a caveat however. I have to be out there with her. But watching her play while I shovel is worth it every time.

great pics! We call our ice fishing huts Shanties here, and yes, we have villages of them in the winter on the lake (the ice can get to 4' thick)

tonight. There is about three inches on the ground and we are supposed to get a couple more but it all should be melted by morning.

re: the pic of the guy in his shorts and no(?) shoes standing in the snow. - this morning at the local dunkin donuts, it was 15*F outside, and there was this young woman (18-20) in her nylon shorts, sneakers, and jacket... bare legs... brrr. (last week there were 2 PETA women downtown dressed in cabbage/lettuce bikinis... shivering their a*ses off - dumb, dumb, dumb... )

School was out due to snow - we had 7-8 inches - most since 1963 for North Alabama. Our 15 yr old granddaughter called wanting to borrow a tube. The only one we had was the inflatable we pull behind our fish-n-ski. She and her friends had a blast with it! Watch this video. It's over 8 minutes long but watch as much as you want! They're using a different tube in the last few minutes. They even used a cab spoiler off an 18 Wheeler but it's not in this video as I'm still working on that one.

At least we made the best of it......

And instead of a snowman this time, we made an igloo. My partner in crime (4 yrs old) gave up before we got to the roof, so an old toy tent thing made the roof.

How did you make the blocks? Pretty cool and looks easier than tunneling/hollowing through the snow to make an "igloo".
