Here Ye, Here Ye...After an exhaustive search of hundreds of locations up and down the eastern seaboard, The Third Annual Searay Rendezvous in Atlantic City will once again be held in Atlantic City. This year the weekend will be July 8-10, 2011.

Several factors went into this date choice...

1. Everyone seemed to like the NON-Independence Day format
2. We will be avoiding the annual Bertram Rendezvous, which created a bit of an issue with the dockmaster last year
3. We are avoiding a noisy stinky Poker Run scheduled for July, 2011.

As is the norm, I'll take PMs with boat name, length, size, beam, electrical requirements and captain name as I have to prepare a manifest for Farley State Marina. Don't worry about committing - you can cancel up to 48 hours before the arrival date and we don't need any credit card info yet. Besides, you have to call the marina yourself to give that info. Last year we had 20 boats, year before that 18. Let's set a new record. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

Is that date set in stone or can it be moved to the following weekend?

Just seems like he pulled the date out of his butt without asking anyone...

And it looks like he's going to be dictating the menu again this year since Carter isn't bringing pig and you know who isn't bringing lobster.

I detect a pattern...

Grant really wanted the pork, but he is still too traumatized...

Since no one has committed yet.....I'll start....

Offering to the table of the gods: Not brining lobster....I've brought pork the last two years and will continue in the form of Italian Hot and Sweet Sausage with onions and peppers. Plus a dessert....maybe little pig cookies.

One Sweet Day.....38'.........but I'll be over on the F Dock....So I'll have Richie the arm put a little pressure on the dock master.

My wife said she wants to go... I told her only if she washed the boat after we got there.

I think pigs in a blanket would be appropriate...

You may make fun of bringing 100 hot dogs (and with buns), but the kids AND adults seem to eat them...

This year I'll bring a can of soup.

[/SIZE]Getting some new blood this year - that's good. For those of you who have missed AC I and AC II, here's some highlights to get you in the swing of things. The main event is the "Table of the Gods" feast. Everyone brings a dish and a dessert and we eat like PIGS. Having been some months in preparation a splendid time is guaranteed for all.

KEEP AN EYE ON POST #1 FOR THE GROWING LIST OF PARTICIPANTS. IF YOU TELL ME YOU'RE COMING AND YOU DON'T SEE YOUR NAME ON THIS LIST YOU BETTER TELL ME AGAIN.

Ron....Add Gale Winds to the list.....2006 38DA. He's planning to sell, but if he keeps it, he'll be there. If he sells, he'll be in my mid cabin.

I found a place in Jersey that rents pig rottiserries. I think that has to be at the table of the gods doesn't it?

Who wants to mount that in place of their Magma?

Ron, put me down as working on it. This could be good.

Has anyone cruised from Cape Cod to NJ..........Cruise right through, stops, total time, etc.....Just think it is too long unless I took a week...

Ryker Bella will be there. Some pictures from last year. That is Lady Taz at the end.

Wet,

I don't have exact details for you as the most northern part I've done was Greenport NY. But, taking a week or more off and make the AC as part of the trip would be a great idea. There're tons of beautiful places to stop along the way (CT, parts of LI north shore, NYC, NJ, etc.). I think you'll need more than a week. Wow, this might be the trip of the season.
