I want to do a post in my blog about the top 10 stupid questions people ask of people who live aboard a boat or cruise and stay on their boats on weekends......my favorite for me is "how will I know if the weather will be good and what if it rains".........I have many, but was looking for some funny classics........I will give credit to any that make my top 12.....

You spent two weeks on your boat??? And what do you do all day, don’t you get bored???
 
Why do they park all the sailboats pointing in the same direction?

Does the water go all the way around the island?

“Hey, is your boat leaking?” Asked as they are pointing to the air conditioning thru hull fitting.

What do you do with the ice after it melts?

How many miles to the gallon do you get?

Does the boat make its own power?

Do these steps go up or down?

If we zoom way in on the GPS can we see ourselves?

Oh yea! two weeks ago we went out let my nephew handle the launch he is 28 well he I guess threw the bow line up on top didn't check if it stayed backed the boat out and yup you guessed it the bow line wraped the prop. I hear the boat die.... hmm I look out at him and see the bow line down the side and there he is trying to run it I screamed stop waded into the water
bring the boat to the dock and began to cut bow line from the prop. the knot in the end hit outdrive trim cylinder and Grrrrr. oil slick the rope put a hole in the cylinder wall. Told the wife we have no reverse she freaked and wanted off the boat NOW. I well had no more to say to keep from sleeping on the couch she said with out brakes how do re avoid other boats. again I remain silent.
 
When you flush the toilet were does it go???

I love this one!! I always tel people that anything goes on my boat...except fishing!!!!

Many people I know think it's a pre-requisite for having a boat. A few guests I've had on board have said, "great, I'll bring my pole along!"

We took our boat on vacation back in July for ten days In the middle of the week we had a fuel pump fail on the port engine. luckly I found one at a local boat yard. It was about 98deg that day and I am down in the engine compartment sweeting like a pig With in about haft and hour I had three people walk down the dock and ask if I had engine trouble I told the last person no everything was okay but it was lunch time and I was feeding the kids
