Summer 2010 Pics...post 'em up!

Scott we must have just missed you. We didn't go into the river until 4ish after we rafted up and had lunch a few miles offshore of the Baha'i Temple. We did get hit by a pretty good rainstorm on the way back to Hammond though.

Small world! There were three of us, went about 8 miles straight north of Hammond to take some pictures of the boats with the skyline in the background. Amazing how calm the lake can get at times.

I left Chicago at about 11:00 and shot straight across to Michigan City to refuel and then headed back up towards New Buffalo. I looked over at Scotts boat when pulling in the marina and noticed the boat was still there all closed up which I found odd since the lake was so nice, but I did note that the whaler was gone!

Try this pic for size. From BB this past Saturday

Yes Rod it was. Although there were few boats at Aquapalooza and very easy to tie up with, we decided to be nearer the deck so we could go to Island Beach State Park.

Water was very flat and calm all day but it rained intensely for a couple of hours so we stayed in the cabin playing cards

The ride back at 5pm was as flat as a glass table

John,

You are closer to Tices than we are... Its $50 in gas, there and back, so we decided to play cards at home... If you ever want to come north you can tie up at my dock. We are just North of the bridge off Goose Creek...

Thats great Rod, Thank You and to be honest, I haven't really ventured many places yet other than Tices, Barneget Light and Mystery spot.
Looking forward to AC trip and would love to explore some other cool spots to anchor up.
I'm getting a little bored with Tices although my son LOVES Island Beach State Park.

Lucky only 3 are mine so the the one shot gun might suffice.
At least I have a boat to dispose of the evidence:grin:
