Haven't seen a thread for this boat yet. Just purchased our 2008, first real time on it will be this weekend. Share your thoughts, ideas, etc.

Hi. I am a new 310 owner too. We boat down in the Gulf, but I'm sure we will have many of the same type questions. By the way, beautiful boat.

There is always something to fix it seems. Last weekend my generator wouldn't start. I was finally able to start it from the control panel on the generator itself, but then it failed and gave me the code of undercurrent. Now I have to figure out what that means exactly for the generator and how to fix it. We don't have the extended warranty on it so I'm going to be learning a lot about the 310.

Very much like my boat in the styling dept, except without the side decks. Very nice style. I can stare at it for hours.

Best wishes with her.

Hi All -
Been looking for this thread as well - thanks for kicking it off. We traded a 260 DA for the '09 310 and are thrilled. Just hit 20 hours on the Chesapeake, so we're still getting used to it. Has anyone added the Skyhook? Just got a quote from MMax to install and strongly considering. Otherwise, I'll share the grins and groans along the way!

We're considering the 310. We currently have a 240 Sundeck. We have two teens. I'd like to find out if there's a big difference between the 310 and the 330 outside of the the few extra feet

Big 310 or little 310? The 2010's are the same size as an older 280DA while the 2007-2009's are the same size as the older 300DA's. Big difference in size between the 2.

Glad to see someone start this thread. We've had our 07 310 for almost 2 years now. Moved up from a 08 240DA after 6 months, couldn't turn down the deal on it. Have loved it so far, probably put on about 150 hours so far. We took it to the Bahamas last summer, was going to again this year but instead will be going over to Ireland for 2 weeks. Looking forward to any and all questions and comments. Only real mods we made were:
1) Installing a tv on the cockpit arch to watch tv and play video games
2) Installed davit for our dinghy
3) Put fender holders on left side bow (holds 2)

Depends on the year; the '09 310 is the '10 330. It is 33'4 with a 10 1/2' beam. It has the slanted V-berth with a sofa + removable table verses the dinette and the convertible V.

The 09 310>>

The 10 310>>

For my money, the '09 was a no-brainer.

Seanotes - we have Skyhook in our '09 330 - really not that useful. We have played with it but a cool idea with no practical use.
We anchor instead of using it - it's kind of noisey keeping it "hooked". You can't use it while swimming and you have to keep the motors on if you use it to keep your position.

If you think of a good reason to use it - let me know. We are new boaters - first boat.

do you have any pictures of the dinghy davits you can share?

I don't have any pics at home but will be on the boat this weekend for memorial day. I'll try to take some and upload them early next week. It has worked our great for us so far. We have a chocoloate lab and needed a dinghy for the sandbar we frequent a lot and davits have made it a lot easier to store and use dinghy.

Has anyone mounted speakers on the back of their 310? If so, where did you place them?

Have you had any issues with the Axius? Our delivery was delayed because the Axius had 'an allergy' to the system. Since, the gauges & Vessel View have cut out several times - again allegedly due to Axius.

Took some pictures this weekend with my phone when over at the boat. Only problem is my phone isn't allowing me to send any emails out to upload the pics. If somebody wants to PM me their cell, I could send the pics by text and they could then upload them to show how my boat looks like with the davits and dinghy setup. If not whenever they can get my phone email fixed I'll try.

Also another question for 310 owners (2007 and newer). I have the 6.2 VDrives, don't know if anyone else does out there, but if you do, what have you found to be your best cruising speed? (how does that equate out for speed (mph), fuel usage (gph), and RPM's)

Thanks

We just got a 2008 310 Sundancer and are headed to Bahamas for Labor Day. We are leaving out of Daytona Beach. Did you have to stop in Port zCanaveral and Ft Pierce for fuel? We have twin 100 gallon tanks.

We stopped in Ft Pierce (cut it pretty close) (maybe would stop in Sebastian next time) and then Ft Lauderdale for fuel and dockage for the night. Day 1 went Daytona (Halifax Harbor) to Ft Lauderdale (Bahia Mar), took about 10-11 hours. Then day 2 did short trip from Ft Lauderdale to Bimini, which only was about 2 hrs. Loved the trip, looking forward to going back next year, maybe Abacos or somewhere else. You buy your's at Parker? Keep it at Halifax? Maybe we'll see you out sometime, we go out to Disappearing Island quite a bit for days and sometimes over night on the hook. Good luck w. the new boat.
