First off I gotta say this is a pretty great site. I like seeing a Sea Ray site. But I am kinda let down by the enthusiasm or what seems to be a lack there of.... I absolutely love my boat and the time we spend on it. seriously. If we miss a week not going out on the water I start getting depressed. My wife and I love it. Lets face it Sea Ray is a great company that makes a great product and I am a proud owner.

Ok done with the soap box. just hoping to see some others out there as excited as I am about being out on the water.

New to site but not new to boating.

Hard to be that enthusiastic knowing that my marina doesn't even open for another 2 weeks...

OK - Whooopie! I love getting my boat ready for her spring launch (other than paying all the bills)! :smt101

Good?:grin::grin::grin:

Welcome to the site but I have to ask.... How can you be on the site for less than 2 weeks and decide there is a lack of enthusiasm?

After being on for several years I can honestly say there have been some very enthusiastic and passionate discussions. Stick around a bit longer and then pass judgment.

yep....a little early for you to be on the 'ole soapbox.

Still on the hard for 19 more days :( but ready to clean and wax this week :p

Just saying that there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of traffic going on here. But looks like I could be wrong. And honestly.... I hope I am:)

Compared to what?

Check some of the other boating web sites and then tell us what other boating sites you find that have more enthusiasm for the "brand" or for that matter more traffic.

When the weather starts to turn nice....like now...members of this site post a little less because........ready?.........we are on our boats.

I am on the lake posting this now. Gotta love the power of apple! Besides the wifey and kids..... My money is spent getting Ford, Sea Ray, Apple, and Nike. And the best part is they all go well together!

And no I don't mean on payments.... Thank god it's all paid off. Just fun stuff now to accessorize

If you want real enthusiasm I would suggest searching all the treads about using portable generators on the boat. There are so many interesting and passionate threads on many topics that in nearly a year I have not discovered them all. So happy searching as the boating season blooms.

P.S. Thanks to all the contributors who have shared their knowledge and expertise to help me.

I have to question the measurement of enthusiasm based on some internet forum's activity.

Some of us are not trailer boat weekenders, but are very serious about boating. Some are gone for several weeks at a time on their boats. I, for one, am not active on CSR when I'm boating. I am so busy with real enthusiasm for boating that I don't have time to play around with some wireless device to "stay connected" or to watch TV. I try to contribute here when I'm not boating, but it is all a matter of priority for me.......and the boat comes before my enthusiasm for a forum.

I think as spring approaches people are busy uncovering, washing, waxing painting and nursing sore shoulders - it's that time of year again for readying the boat for the season. The bigger the boat, the more the work (or the larger the check that gets written). I need about 5 full work days to get this tub ready for splash and it's pretty all consuming and tiring.

As Frank mentioned, not everyone has internet access on the water (or wants to have it!). So for those of you who are already on the water, get out and boat, take pix and put them up here so all the apathetic boaters can be re-animated.
