I have seen and read the more abundant 185 and 205 owner's threads, but i don't see too may 195 owners. I just got mine and have been out twice. FANTASTIC!!! I'll post pics as soon as i get some.

James...

I'm a 195 owner.... Your right... Not a whole lot of threads dedicated to "our" boat!

I have an 06 Sport 195 and have nothing but good things to say about the boat! I've done several modifications to mine and have a few more in mind!

You can see pics of my boat in the link in my signature!

Happy boating!

I'm a 195 owner as well and I think this boat is awesome. I would also like to see more 195 on this site. I wonder what's the first year for 195.

James that must be one loud tower, I bet the riders have no problem hearing there tunes.

2006 was the first full year. This, currently, is the last.

It is a nice boat, though!

I installed some led's on a 195, i thought that boat was probably wanna the coolest boats i have dealt with, Very cool!

Do you guys ever actually wakeboard or is all that tower and stuff for show? Never actually SEEN a boat yet with boards strapped on or any riding pics/vids.

POSERS!!!

billandamy...

I know, I know....

I'll get some video on here ASAP... I had a PC, loaded up with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for editing video... And had all sorts of problems with it (computer wouldn't recognize my camera, extremely slow importing, etc.)....

Then my PC "Crashed".....

Thank goodness!

I bought a Mac....

So now, I'm learning IMovie, along with Some Final Cut Pro....

So hopefully, sooner than later, I'll get some video edited and post it....

I've got hours upon hours of footage from 4 summers that I can pick and choose from!

Now I'm in the market for an HD camera!

To answer your question, yes, July 4th, I was a "POSER"....

Man, I haven't heard or used that term since my old skateboarding days!

But the boat looks good in that pic, doesn't it?

Damn PC's!

iMovie is great, and very simple to use. You will get it very quickly. The first few of my YouTube movies are lackluster, as I just blasted them out in iMovie just to get them out, but now I am becoming adept at it and my newer movies are much better.

An HD camera makes a huge difference for home videos and if you can post up in HD or watch at home on a nice flat screen. For youtube, I didnt see much difference due to the compression.

lol..."poser" has been in my vocabulary since then too!

Dont worry, I have been a poser on some weekends too, when the 3 kids are out on the boat, and we dont have a lot of time on the water. It is tubing and cruising and rafting up/anchoring to swim.

Your boat looks fantastic, of course. How is the wake on the 195?

I'll try and get some up......need someone to take them from shore or another boat!

I was wondering if any 185 or 195 owners thought about putting subs in the fiberglass part under the back seat area? Not where the coolers go, but where you could see them if you turned around and looked back.

With a few tips from Merge 360, I finished off the stereo in my 195 Sport this weekend and to be honest, I dont feel the need for a sub. The front speakers are JL 6.5's that I had to cut holes for, and the rear speakers are JL 7.7's which required me to enlarge the stock speaker holes.

I replaced the stock Clarion radio with a Sony radio, and I also mounted a Sony remote in the dash which required cutting yet another hole.

The Sony radio is connected to a Kicker 4 channel marine amp. I welded up a custom mount for the amp and mounted the amp inside the left side storage area.

The mount bolts on to the mid cleat bolts and is mounted high enough so that it cannot be seen. Furthermore, the amp is well ventailated and more importantly, it does not take up any of the storage space.

Prior to completing the system install, I was pretty sure I was going to also add a sub, however once the system was done, I really dont see a need for it.

Between the controls on the Sony radio and the Kicker amp, the amount of bass can be ridiculous and will shake the hell out of the boat. At this point I am extremely satisfied with the set up and adding a sub would only be overkill. Besides, I really dont want to cut any more holes in my boat!

Any updates with anyone on their 195 sports? I have a 2006 195 with tower and am pretty new to the site and am interested in seeing what everyone has modded with their boats!

Lets get this thing started back up!

Just switched out the 8 cupholders to stainless. I know, nothing huge, but does make a big difference. Grab handles are next.

James I am looking at a 2010 195 right now. Tell me abou that plexiglass walkthru wind protection. Did you make that?? That is sweeet!

I'm in the 195 club. Biggest Sea Ray Sport your can get in Australia before they require wide load towing permits. We have a lot of boating options where we live in Newcastle so needed a boat readily trailerable. We also usualy invite anotehr family along and and the 195 provides enough space and the 5L is a versatile donk. We love it :smt038

Cheers Gidders
