New CSR Advertiser - Gioia Sails - OEM Canvas

Just want to give everyone who has sent me messages a heads-up. Boating season is getting close for most of the country and we have started to see our annual increase in work flowing into the shop. Current lead times for most items are under two weeks. Those lead times easily become a month or so when things get really busy. If you are considering any purchases in time for boating season, you may want to contact us soon...

Props to Derek and Gioia Sails! I ordered the black mesh underside to the soft-top on my bridge, which I had lost half of when it blew overboard unbeknownst to me. Derek was responsive and helpful, and they sent me the new pieces within two weeks. I installed them this weekend and they fit like a glove.

We, myself included, are all so quick to complain, it's also nice to recognize a job well done: So thanks, Derek!

We appreciate the compliment! Glad everything went well!

I am still having trouble getting on a 280 long enough to pattern it and have it accessible to test a finished design. If someone with a 280DA was willing to make a pattern of the bow area (where the sunpad would go) and take some pictures, it would speed things along. And earn that person a discount on their sunpad! :smt038

If anyone is interested in helping out, shoot me an email @ derek@gioiasailssouth.com and I'll send you some patterning materials.

I had Gioia North (Lakewood NJ) make a new top for my 400 DA. They did a perfect job and fit, gave me the pattern and left the job clean. I also replaced the cockpit carpeting with this job. I would give them a thumbs up in the quality and finish department.

The only think that was over the top was the little tags they put on each piece stating "Gioa Sails" One would be enough...but I've learned to tuck them in.

Anyway...you will be happy with the finished product.

They were the OEM on my boat and I thought the same thing 6 years ago, geez one label would be sufficient. However, over the years my opinion has changed, they do great work that lasts, I would plaster my name all over every piece as well. When the time comes to replace my canvas I will call them and order without hesitation.

Hello, so what was the final verdict on sunpads for a 280DA? I'm also looking for some and wondering what the price would be.

He doesn't work there anymore and Gioia doesn't want to pay their CSR bill. Oh well...
