A Fun Run Video To Get You In The Spring Mood!!

Great video. I love Pachanga's. I really love Pachangas. Someday, I will own a 27 or 32.

Tell Rocket Man I love his work.
The only thing better than a fast car is a fast boat.

Here's my Buddy's 38 Fountain with twin 1000's and number 6 drives.

How did you manage to get this pic? Holy $%#T!!

Yea, what jitts said. that is a sweet picture Keokie! I assume he got running 60 or so, hit your wake & gunned it only to hopefully back off by the time the props left the water?

I was in the hole in my 310. He had to make several passes at different speeds and trim to get the boat to launch. It would usually just glide right across.

Earlier in the day I was riding with him while we jumped the Lake Powell Tour Boat wakes. They are about 60 feet long, travel at about 18 knots and are displacement hull, so the wake is huge.

We were cricling one (the Fountain is so fast we could literally run circles around it without even getting close) and jumping the wake. It was amazing the tour boat did not capsize because everyone on the boat was crowding over the rail on our side to watch and take pictures.

Anyway, we got far, far more air from that. Wish I had pictures. But again, you had to try. Otherwise, the boat just glides across.

If I was in the same place, I'd be going by the bridges at max get-it too. Screw it - have fun. Down here in FL, they'll crush you over it, but up there in MI, I rarely saw sheriff's boats when I was out farting around.

Dude, Rocketman is sick - what does he have in that thing??? Music was kickass - so was your buddy the camera man who got in the water and let you buzz him. Great stuff.

Yeah my buddy dives for a hobby so he got his dive gear out and jumped in the fridged water to shoot my flybys then made the video which was a suprise! A True friend indeed. Rocket man is runnig a 525 BBC with a procharger and like a 26 pitch prop. He breaks alot of hearts around here with the old girl!! Johnny law is real cool around here and I work @ local marina on the river so they all know me and my boat very well USCG too so it's all good! Plus in the full swing of season we we do our fast playing out in the Saginaw Bay/ Lake Huron not on the river, we just use that for cruising!

Thanks for the Vid! I would have like a little more engine rumble and less music, but that's me. :smt101

I'm thinking of looking at an '88 22 Pachanga. Now I'm thinking I gotta look......nice ride. Ted

Just sold my 1988 P-22 I loved that boat! You won't regret that purchace. 454 or 350 ?

Very nice vid indeed. I got bit with spring fever yesterday. I built a 14ft section of dock. Hopefully i get it in before the ice melts. then i can completely bypass dealing with the muck in the spring. well, atleast till its time to put the hoist in.

What do the smaller pachanga's go for in decent/average shape?

I sold mine in August for 14k but it was a 9 out of 10. Usually 9K to 15K is the norm. Fun and fast little rides!!

Dude, loved the video. I've got to learn how to do the music, combine all my vid's into a single video and with the text. What do you use to do all that?

Here's one video of 4 on a trip across lake michigan I'd love to make a single video out of.

I also have 220 other of my own videos on this site. I also have 11153 pictures in 52 albums uploaded there as well. You can upload hundreds of pics at a time literally!:smt024

Can you share what the software is that you use?

Cool! Anywho my buddy made them for me so I 'm not sure but I'll ask him what software and get back to ya!.

Great video!
Good thing you're close with the sheriff. Putting a beer decal like that on your boat here is like waiving a red flag to a bull :smt001

Not to mention the non-compliant state reg numbers.. That actually gets people pulled over in Cincinnati on the Ohio between the bridges....

My MC's are legal. Michigan law states 3" letters with 3" between each segment. What makes you think they are illegal? Also The beer mug has been on my boat for 5 years and I have been all over this state so I have no idea what you guys are talking about and you are way off. I've see alot worse names. geeze Im glad the CSR police are on here 2 keep me in line!

In Ohio at least the letters must be block, script is non-compliant! Perhaps it's different in Michigan.. BTW, we're just looking out.

OHIO
Watercraft Identification & Display of Tags and Number
(OAC 1501:47-1-07 & ORC 1547.57)
The number assigned is in three parts beginning with "OH" followed by four numbers and two letters.
The number shall:

be placed on each side of the forward half of the watercraft;
read from left to right;
be in block characters of good proportion;
be a minimum of three inches in height;
contrast with the background or boat color;
be separated by a hyphen or equivalent space between the prefix and suffix;
be maintained to be clearly visible and legible.
No other numerals or letters may be displayed on the bow.

OH 1234 AB or OH-1234-AB

Two registration tags are issued with each traditional boat registration. On numbered boats the owner shall securely affix the tags on each side of the bow six inches toward the stern from the number.

The tags must be clearly visible in normal conditions and affixed prior to operation of the watercraft. Documented boats must display one tag on the port side and one on the starboard side.

Traditional Registration Display of Numbers

MICHIGAN IS AS FOLLOWS

The Michigan Secretary of State provides registration and registration renewals

Boats are numbered according to state and federal regulations. These regulations help protect people from careless boat operators and improperly equipped boats. A Certificate of Number is issued to tell enforcement officers that a boat is properly registered. The numbers must be displayed properly on the boat.

The law requires:

The figures are to be read from left to right.
They must be displayed on the forward half of each side of the bow of the boat.
Numbers must be bold, block letters of good proportion. Numbers must not be less than three inches high.
They must be of contrasting color to the boat hull or background.
They must be as high above the waterline as practical.
No number other than the number assigned can be displayed on the forward half of the vessel.
Letters must be separated from numbers by spaces or hyphens.
Validation decals must be three inches to the right of the last letter displayed.
Boat Certificate of Registration must be carried on vessel when being operated.

But you're right, we may be WAY OFF!!!!!

J-Dizzle, Here in N.J you would be stopped every outing with a boat name like that and a beer mug picture on the stern. The marine police and CG are everywhere. Consider yourself lucky. I think??
