Amy & I keep looking at "Hooch" which is a 1980"s 53' Hatteras that has beautiful lines. We thought about converting our garage into local bank so we could get our bail out money and then we could afford to buy & refinish her. Glad guy's like Alan have the money to restore and maintain beauty's like that.

Alan has a passion for restoring older classics, including a number of old wood Chris Crafts. They truly do break the monotony on the waterfront here.

Ever hear his song "Drive"? Thats much better than the 18' plywood boat with 75 Johnson with Electric Choke!

I imagine more than a few SR enthusiasts (as well as classic woody restorers) got their powerboating start with a humble plywood skiff or aluminum fishing boat; for me it was a 16' aluminum skiff with an 18 horse Evinrude, at age 13 in 1964.

First of all AJ's Burger is truly a classic. He did a great job restoring it!

My first boat was a 12ft jon boat with a 6hp evinrude from the 60's!! (i really miss it)\

I liked the fan blowing away in the back ground at the helm. I do that when the windows fog up though....Nice find Rick, thanks for sharing.
