Garmin440 Gps/Nav chartplotter

Due to the economy and my not having no work i need to sell this unit. and im getting rid of my boat.

I have a Garmin gpsmap440 Chartplotter with color screen and blue chip.

I paid $639.00 at west marine before tax
I also paid $300.00 for the "blue chip" that goes inside the unit. It has all the maps for the entire usa and photos of land marks and photos of what you should see on your route.. ITs the BIG BOY chartplotter gps nav. I paid a total of about $1000 dollars after taxes..

Make a decent offer and ill let it go. I will also take partial firearm trade + Money

Heres the link. The link is only the the unit not the blue chip. YOu ahve to buy the blue chip seperately to run the unit IM INCLUDING THE BLUE CHIP.

-Unit
-Wire Harness
-Mount bracket
-Blue Chip Card

Make resonable offer

I also have the full snap cover set for a 2007 searay 185 sport. blue cover for sale.

If business picks up or i can find someone to hire me for full time job i will keep it but as of now it has to go as i need to pay bills. Unit is brand new used 1 time.

Hey Crock, nice to hear from you, though under not so nice circumstances. Sorry to hear about you being out of work and needing to sell your GPS and boat.

We sold our boat at the beginning of the summer. Though we miss it, it's one less thing to worry about and pay for.

I hope things work out for you.

Hey Crock,
I hope things turn for the better. What kind of work do/did you do?

Do you have a sale price in mind?

i really need to get about 600.. i know you can get it online for JUST THE UNIT for 550 as i have seen.. but i have the 200 dollar blue chart card in it.. but im taking offers.. buyer pays shipping.. im in touch with reality so i know im not going to get no where what i paid for it.

thanks.. cr0ck1

Okay, thanks. Let me think about it, I appreciate the quick response.

I am familiar with hand held GPS units and the automobile units. Garmin is by far the best in my opinion, from my experience. I am unfamiliar with the marine units. What exactly do the "blue chips" or "blue chart" cards do? Thanks again.

you get more detailed maps.. im talking about detail, shipwrecks, ect.. you can click on a destination and its loaded to show you a picture of what it should look like as your approching from all angles. And it opens up all the features on the unit (the grey un usable features) it has every map and lake in the untire usa. it shows you the depths, and even changes depths as the tids change. Its a must have if you have a garmin. it makes your garmin fully functional. when i bought the unit i didnt buy the card.. an and i went back and was like whats wrong i cant use some features.. he sold me the card and i was happy.. its cool to get a pictures in color of what you should see when approaching a group of islands so you dont go to the wrong one!..

Crock, the downside is the card you have is specific for your area.
The unit may be worth $250-$300 as long as you have everything it came with. You may be able to sell the card separately..
Again best of luck

Sounds cool. Do you have to have an open subscription to up do date info or is it all on the card?

Unless you are boating in the area his card is designated for, it's useless to you.

Thanks everyone.

westmarine.com its like 569 i think for just the unit. plus the card 200 and plus tax... i shop at west marine.. when i bought it it was like 1000 out the door.. now its more like 850 out the door.. yea the price went down a little.

Do you know specifically which card you have? I have not seen one that covers the whole US; the ones I see listed are for a certain geographic area of the US.
