380 Sundancer starboard engine won't start without using the emergency start. Any suggestions?

same problem here searay 400 sedan. tiny bit of corrosion on 1 battery only. once it's running its gtg. also on shore power all week but holding 12.3v. once load put on it, won't start. batteries are a year old. Port is charging at upper 13 and Starboard at about 12.5. Alternator for starboard almost impossible to get to for a meter check.Did you check the connections at the battery (-ies) to see if they need cleaning? How old are the batteries? Have you checked the charging system to all the batteries?
If your battery is sitting at 12.3 it is discharged. If it's "charging" and only at 12.3 (or even 12.5) there's a bigger problem with the battery and/or the charging circuit.same problem here searay 400 sedan. tiny bit of corrosion on 1 battery only. once it's running its gtg. also on shore power all week but holding 12.3v. once load put on it, won't start. batteries are a year old. But has the Port Battery been load tested as it is the one that seems deficient? A surface charge on a dead/poor battery can be misleading.I've had the same issue. Starboard fires right up. The port requires the start button. both circuits at 13.4. And all batteries are the sealed gel batteries. Everything cleaned and dielectric greased. Both alt's put out the proper voltage (13.8 to 14.1).
Yes it has been tested. All three have been load tested. Once this year and twice last year. Begiining of season and end of season. And I rotate the batteries several times a year. A practice I picked up many years ago.But has the Port Battery been load tested as it is the one that seems deficient? A surface charge on a dead/poor battery can be misleading.

CHECK THE 6TH ONE TOO!!!All, thanks for the feedback! Turns out all 5 battery cells were bone dry. This boat is new to me. Starboard is now firing up like a charm.
