If the public school teachers were compensated like other professionals (engineers, IT technicians, etc) the teaching jobs would be filled and interviewed competitively. There would be no need for a union to represent interests not necessarily the teachers and students. Most teachers I know in our area want nothing to do with their union. I understand that 80 percent of school funding is spent on administration, not specifically "teaching" which is a double-digit uptick from ten years ago. I submit that if the teachers were treated and compensated as professionals the cost of education would actually go down.Because the democrats want votes to control…. They have the unions…especially the school unions CRT in schools and the curriculum….all to indoctrinate the kids to move to the left ….it’s been a long term plan….you are just starting to see progress in universities and media
