Radar Detector(s) ?

Im on a roll. I got pulled over by a Nazi. Said i was drinking, wasnt. I refused to blow. 5th amendment. I was 10 over speed limit.
I go to court, judge dismissed because she knew how these Nazis are. But because the Legislature decided if you refuse to blow, enact your 5th amendment rights against self incrimination, you automatically get a blow and go on your car for a year. So judge found me not guilty but I still had a blow and go at $100 a month for a year for enacting my 5th amendment.
So tell me again about how the cops do no wrong. Farking Nazis.

Oh that’s nothing….. in Indy they have a specially trained eye…(just one)..my youngest was somehow a target (long story) around school….. she swore up and down she wasn’t speeding…. We hired a lawyer the second time….no radar proof… We went to court and the cop actually said he had a specially trained eye…. OMG…. We lost. So I bought a gps for the car that tracked her speed, location, time , day etc….. She got another ticket (same cop) and we won in court with the gps data….. trained eye….. give me a break

Yes, but they can't photo ID you. At least I have never heard of them doing that. Like if you daughter was driving and she got a ticket, your saying they would photo ID her and she gets the ticket?

Try it again…. Lots of improvements some good … some not so. I don’t have problem with advertisers being displayed…. My car has apple play so it’s up on my Nav screen…. No ads there for sure

Ah that makes a big difference. That must be nice having it in the cars nav screen. I'll give it a try, going to NY tomorrow so that is what precipitated this thread.

As of this date, I don't know if they photo ID. But if she got a ticket in her car, the ticket goes to her. If she was driving my vehicle, it would come to me and she wouldn't be driving until she moved out and was living on her own. It is actually a gray area on letting someone use your vehicle here. I got stopped in Dad's pick up. And they were going to give me a ticket for no insurance. But because I have the same name as my father, it was a non issue. So if Joe Blow is driving my vehicle, he will get all kinds of tickets. As for the cameras, they can do what they want and have proven that. It's part of living in a commie state.

Yeah, that part makes sense. The ticket goes to the car registrant. But you don't get points, at least in any of the states I've been in.

You lost me on the insurance and same name thing. I don't see why one person driving another person's car, as long as that car is legal, will get any tickets unless they break a law.

It's a stupid technicality thing. They don't want you loaning out your car. Hell they don't want you even driving. But unless your name in on the car, or your on said cars insurance, it's a driving without insurance. Then you loose your driving "privileges" for a year (at least) and you pay huge fines. If the law is a good guy, the car is left. If he is a douche with a chip on his shoulder, he tows the vehicle and it costs huge fees to get it back. All paid to the city or state. And there is no points against you here, unless you have a CDL and that is federal. Get two tickets for same thing in 6 months, no more privilege. And DO NOT call the main office about anything. The DMV call center is inmates that have control over your info. Piss one off that is already pissed off, and you loose your privileges for a year, two to five or forever.

Hmmmm - Isn't Oregon the state that says it's unsafe to fill your own car up with gasoline? That is until a virus goes rampant then it's ok but now it's not again??
 
Bwah ha ha, something like that. But they still pumped your fuel through the virus. And technically, you can pump your own in rural areas. And in those areas, it's still not safe because, well, the banjos are loud at night.

THAT is unbelievable. I believe you, but can't imagine that in the USA. That sounds like a foreign country your talking about. I could never live there under any circumstance. I feel for you. Wow.

That’s hard to believe….. I can rent a car and use my insurance….. I can loan my car and use my insurance….. what are you guys missing?……. Is your insurance free ?

I have a Valentine 1 in all my cars for 20yrs. I have all Gen 2 units now. Great company and a great product. I don’t think I would still have a license do to too many tickets if I didn’t have it.

Yeah it seems to be a toss up between the Escort 360c and Valentine Gen 2. Not saying there the best, but they definitely the most popular.

I also use the Escort 360c Max, great product! I've hardwired each of my cars with Escorts concealed power cord and suction cup mount and just use the one detector I have in the car I'm driving.

I had the hardwired Escort Max CI, which had radar shifters/blockers, in my M3 and 911 but they are super expensive and you end up leaving them in the car when you sell them and never get near to being compensated for it. I went with the 360 Max which also has GPS and also tells you were red light and speed zone cameras are, just like Max CI.

I too use Waze, but am not comfortable speeding on the open road without a detector as a back up.

I am considering the Max CI for my BMW. Which, beside the drive I have tomorrow, was the 2nd reason for posting this thread. But the price tag on that thing doesn't make any sense.

Any issues with swapping and hiding the 360?
