Boat Info
340 Sundancer 2001
Engines
8.1s 370 v drv.
Moved to a 2001 340da.from our 5 yrs. with a 2000 310da. Late in the season last year. Not a huge difference but there are some overall. Boats condition overall is good as far as I know. We had the surveys done but besides a couple small runs to the islands never really got to take her on long shake down cruise. The 8.1s have tons of power over the 5.7 . I do miss how quite at cruising speed the 310 was. It will be nice when I get the general normal feel for the 340.

If we were real men we could have been out there boating until just this past week. Almost zero ice on the big lakes...though that's changing this week.

:)

I feel your pain. Winter sux.
Says who?

I purchased the boat before this one one week before it had to go into the boatel for the winter. I literally got a 30 minutes cruise in prior, then she went into the boatel for the winter. That was tough.

Yes, the big blocks with inboards are louder.

Louder and faster. I can take the extra noise.

Yeah we went from a single 350 on a 350 DA to twin 502’s on a 33 DA. Quite a difference, and yeah a bit noisier but worth it.

Also your boat looks just like ours!

Bought my boat Dec 1st while on Dry. I knew about the boat before and some friends knew about it so. I did take a chance but at a really great price. I know it does need a lot of maintenance work. And the Genset is not working for unknown reasons. I've been chompin at the bit to get up to work on it. I hoping by mid March.

340 with 8.1s is a sweet combo!! A little more gas but great engines, in a great boat.

Congrats

It took all summer to find one locally with 8.1s. Paid a little to much for it but it only cost me 23K after we sold our 2000 310da.

Yeah must be, I meant to say a 250 DA
