The Grim reaper strikes. Official death thread

I owned a bar back in the mid 90's and one morning right after opening a guy comes in that looks just like Gallagher. He bought 2 cans of Bud and took them with him. 2 people were in the bar and we all 3 thought it looked just like him, including his beanie hat. Walked over to the window and he was driving what looked like a smaller transit bus, like a shuttle that runs people around an airport so thought nothing of it. A little while later a few more patrons come in and said they were going to see Gallaghers brother playing at the local Holiday Inn. I told them if he smashes 2 cans of Bud on stage they came from me....lol. I guess they called him the Silly Sibling or something like that

I saw Gallagher twice, good show I thought. His brother looks almost exactly like him, don't think they're twins though.
They got into a legal dispute in the early 90's I believe. His brother stole his content and was doing shows.

Which would coincide with my meeting with him. It would have been about 1994 or 1995 as I sold it in 1995 and it was near the end of me owning it. There were people that came in after the show and said he was smashing stuff on stage.
And yes, he looked exactly like him, down to the same type of hat

Borje Salming died of ALS.
He was recently honored at a Maple Leafs game in Toronto for Hall of Fame inductees and then dropped the puck with his family at the game the next night. I grew up watching him play in Toronto. The first video is him getting a standing ovation at the first game. Darryl Sittler and Mats Sundin beside him. Brought a tear to my eye. The second video is the tribute night and his puck drop. That was about two weeks ago. So great for Toronto fans to see him one last time and pay tribute to one of hockey's greats.

I was at the game when they honoured Borje. Not many dry eyes in the building. It was like everybody knew he was saying goodbye, just didn't think it would be this soon. ALS is a terrible disease

Irene Cara, who belted out the title tracks of two beloved song-and-dance movies of the 1980s, “Flashdance” and “Fame,” has died. She was 63.

And it continues…..does anybody see a pattern here? We only hear about celebrities and unfortunately close friends, but this die off is happening at a large scale.
