460 DA Owners Thread

I think he’s referring to the vent window frame which is a separate assembly framed in aluminum not stainless.
The company MAY be able to make a new one if they still have dimensions?

Yes I am referring to the actual frame - contemplating just sealing it shut at this point.

My starboard alternator is overcharging. Pegging out at 16v and killing my electronics. Guessing it’s a bad regulator. Can I disconnect it and still run the motor?

Was at a slip the other day and back flushing the a/c system. The a/c strainer bottom literally busted out completely. So I had to get another GROCO AGS1000S strainer. Morale of the story --- inspect your strainers very very well. I had no idea the bottom was that soft and enough for a garden hose to literally blow the bottom off.

The job took me a few hours but it was exceptionally hot down in the bilge and I also spent a bit of time cleaning down there. FB_IMG_1662382411233.jpg

I have searched and can’t find this part.
Do any of you know where to buy one?

I just talk to Progressive.
There part # is PA-09-2-330. $ 156.00

If any of you are at your boat could you measure the full extended stroke " out"

I would like to be sure the strokes out are the sames as the 460 has two actuators and if theres is longer i would think it would break the glass.

I am four hours away from our boat.

Thank you for the help.

I don't know how to start a new post, so here goes.
I am collecting a fair amount of water in the floor compartment at the bottom of the stairs closest to the refrigerator. It is pretty much a sealed compartment. There are no hoses going thru or above it. Does anybody have any ideas?

Water heater is leaking. At least that is where my water came from the day I found it. I took a bit of digging, but the pressure release valve was going bad and it leaked down into that trough below it. I figured it out the day we hauled out. With the boat going down the road, it sloshed forward and got that compartment wet.

I took my small shop vac and added some solid hose extensions and fed it into the 2" hole at the back of that small compartment and sucked out a couple of gallons of water.

Hope that helps.

I just took the panel out above the water heater. There is no water back there--behind the water heater and washing machine. Put a flashlight into that small hole where the big wires for the bow thruster go and I can't see that light coming thru anywhere. Do you know what is behind that?

My water actually showed up below the water heater in the space between the 2 stringers. This is not visible from above as the floor deck in the salon is covering it. The floor hatch by the fridge is a small compartment between the inboard port stringer and outboard stringer. Somehow my situation allowed the water to drip and make it's way into the stringer compartment below the water heater towards the port interior stringer.

If you inspected the front of the water heater where the hoses enter and exit as well as the overflow/pressure valve and it was dry, then I am stumped!!

Yep. The compartment is between the 2 stringers. And, I can see the water heater is above those same 2 stringers. So, if water gets down in there, it could flow forward to that little bulkhead and leak under and through it. How did you get to the front of the water heater?

You do know these boats well Wolf. Pulled out the panel. No leaks. There is a board on the bottom with 2 screws. It seems to be really sealed in. Do you know what is below that? The tubes for the heater and washer go forward and then wrap around to the port side. But I think they go below the floor so pulling the refrigerator will probably not help. Any idea how to access that area?
