48 DA Owners Club

we just replaced our TAPPAN with a Breville 3-in-one combo.Just had to remove the rubber feet to get ot to slide in and then reinstalled them from the bottom once installed.

Are their any heat rejection issues with the unit when in air fryier or convection mode? My thought would be no and it all circulates in/out the front...

What do you do with your bow pads while cruising and how does your bow pad cover (if you have one) attach?

@KevinC redid my bow pads when I bought my boat. The padding was fine but the canvas was toast. It came with a cover that is more like a fitted sheet with clips that go over the deck rails that are on either side of the pad to hold it in place.
If I leave the cover on, it puffs up like a giant sail. If I take it off, the wind still gets under the pads and raises them up.
That leaves me with schlepping them on and off the bow every time we want to use them.
I though about getting a new cover made with snaps under the rails, but would rather not drill a bunch of holes in the deck if I don't have to.
Do you guys have better solutions?

Shaps I had a canvas guy make me a fitted cover that snaps down over it, fits like a glove and never moves. They did drill into the deck for the snaps but it is perfect. Very happy with it. You can also see the window screen he made as well. It's a mesh screen made in navy blue that I use temporary rubber stick on snap buttons to the window so I could avoid drilling holes for snaps. Makes a big difference with the afternoon sun beating in.

I like it @JB MARSHALL
That was exactly what i was envisioning. Just hesitant on drilling those darn snaps.
I guess that is the appropriate solution though.

That’s a nice set up… I just use a strap but I am always carrying a couple paddle boards up there.

Anyone replace the cockpit fridge with some type of icemaker combination? The cockpit fridge doesn't hold much and the admiral wants an icemaker.

I did just the opposite, previous owner had an ice maker. I love the cockpit fridge, holds 10 beers and a few bottles of water. We carry a portable ice maker.

I just did my window tinting, used 30% ceramic tinting, i also did the sunroofs very happy with it!!!

"Front Vent Window and Hardtop Tilt Window weather-stripping"
(pretty sure they are the same)
Anyone have any lucking finding those?
I have searched everywhere and only found alternatives to OEM design.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I replaced my cockpit refrigerator with a Vetrefrego OCX2. It is an ice maker that has a freezer mode if you need more freezer space. Looks good and it’s ice production keeps up with our margarita machine. We’re happy with it.

A friend and I refinished the corian counter tops in the cockpit last weekend. All the scratches gone and a nice uniform color again. Well worth the couple of hours.

Yes it is the Vitrifrigo IMXTIXNIX OCX2 Hydro (so it connects to the boat water system)

They where not the same exact size so I trimmed it out with 1/4" star board.
