58 Sedan Bridge Official Thread

I've been a CSR member since 2016. Never posted before and have since sold our 2003 420 DA and bought a 2006 58 Sedan Bridge. Does anyone know the process of re-programming the remote for the swim platform?

@HV Boater, make sure you try new batteries in the key fobs first. I have to replace mine at least every other season. Secondly, on mine, I have to hold both raise and lower buttons down for a period until it beeps prior to just hitting raise or lower.

If reprogramming is required, GHS has the owners manual available on their website.

Welcome to the move up from 420/44DA to 58DB club - we did the same last year.

As @tc410 mentioned, start with replacing the batteries. Mine is slightly different it seems from @tc410 though, in that I press just the down button for about 7 seconds then release.

If all else fails call GHS, they have fantastic support.

Thanks for your insight. Tried to lower the platform and it beeped 3 times and stopped. Changed the battery, beeped once and wouldn't work. Was advised that we needed to reprogram but I will check with GHS.

Posted from their website. I had done it before & it's straightforward

By the way, has anyone using directv with the M3 noticed some of the channels are coming in HD? This just happened. I have heard nothing from directv.

That's cool! DTV must have moved some of the HD content to the Ku Band. It sounds impossible as the satellites on the Ku band didn't have the capability.

in my package, the following are now in HD

202
229
312
356
360

They must have changed some to the KU band.

You almost had me excited Ken....
There are two feeds for each of those channels one is SD and one is HD. I'm sure you are getting the SD feed even though your guide indicates HD. If your system is programmed to satellite 101 then all Ku band (SD feeds).
I think 101 also sends SiriusXM and the weather feeds.

Trust me. I know the difference. These channels are HD. The other channels are the typical SD blurry. I could send pics if you like. Huge difference.

You have a small M3 dish right? The default programming for that dish is DSS satellites 101 and 119 as in our area that is about all that can be received unless stepping up to the big 24 inch HD dishes with more than two LNB's.
Unless, DTV decided to grossly reduce the number of channels to gain the necessary bandwidth for HD on these two older satellites we are still getting SD. Regardless, that is the big disadvantage with DTV and AT&T not replacing the satellites with HD capable ones. Did you change the setup on the dish to DSS 103 or 99? I can't yet technically see how your M3 is getting HD. Next time I'm at the boat I'll hook up my laptop and see what the dish is looking at and if in fact we are getting HD.
With all that said, the Dish network's satellites are all HD and if your M3 is set up for tracking the Dish satellites you will get HD.

I have been using directv since 2006. I have my motor home setup, my house setup, and my boat set up. I am very savvy with the systems. This is a change that just occurred.

Compare. The lower one is definitely in HD.

I’m looking for a good reasonable source for engine impellers (CRM 900). MAN kits (50-06599-6027) are over $400. Anyone have a good replacement or source?
