thanks...when the Searay techs were here 10 days ago they used a mercruiser scanner. No faults. I was very surprised that it did not pick up a code indicating there was no spark to plugs

They finally got to “it’s $xxx but we think that’s the issue” and it was…. Not sure but I recall $500-700 was the ballpark price on the harness/cableThere is no code for that, just have to work with what it does.

The obd2 guy steered me to Simon Motorsports. They were unable to give me any ideas. I did learn that they refurbish pcm 555 for $650 which seems reasonable to me.
