I am a huge fan of this race….. before the big boat I had 30 tickets in tower terrace and corner two. Wife would leave for the weekend and I would fill the house with guys …would have van limo’s …. Party all weekend…. Tail gate at the race… it was pretty epic. Did it for years and have a million stories from strip joints to cops

looks like with Penske it’s back this year in full swing

jimmy johnson looks like he is on it this year…. Kissing the wall the other day

Really looking forward to the race. Especially with Dixon's 234mph average record. Holy Toledo!

I've only been there once and it was for the 100th. We were infield behind the pits before the bricks. We camped at the Coke Lot which was nuts. It was a great time.

I've gone a few times before live broadcasts. We'd drive down to the race, watch, lose track of some of the drivers because you actually can't see most of the track, then drive home and watch the race on TV.
This year I'll be wasting the day watching Monaco, Indy and Charlotte. I'll head to the boat Saturday and Monday.

Scott Dixon was my neighbor… he moved a couple years ago…. I would run into him in the mornings at the corner gas station getting a coffee. On a Monday he would stand there and talk to you about the race that weekend until you ran out of questions….. just an all around great guy

It's suppose to rain here Sunday. The only day this weekend I am hoping for rain so I can watch racing. 8am, 11:30 and 5 pm.

Years ago, early 1980s my parents went to the race where Danny Sullivan spun out and won. The next year they packed us up in an RV and we drove down and stayed in a budget Car Rental lot close to the speedway. Adults got the class A RV. Kids got an airstream trailer. Sat right above the pits. Was really cool for us kids. They lost me with the split and it just wasn’t the same race.

That’s right….lost us too…. That year they split we actually went to Michigan speedway to watch that race on Memorial Day weekend….. I have a great picture of that race in the basement …… but that killed it for sure

we went to Michigan a few years there…..if you guys remember a tire came off the car and went into the stands and killed a number of people…..it was really kept out of the news…..we were in that stand …..tire bounced over us and we tried to save a couple of people. It was a horrible experience and images that will never go away.

Same here on the split.......I remember the Danny Sullivan spin like it was yesterday....Little Al, etc......ah, the good 'ole days.....

I have a buddy who had been trying to get Indy tickets for years. 1994 was the 1st year he got them (he's had them ever since). My wife was 4 months pregnant with my oldest. My wife, my buddy and his wife and me went. Sat in the infield stands overlooking turn 4 and the entrance to the pits. There were drunk hot women everywhere, but I had to be careful about getting caught looking, the wife was a bit self conscious about her pregnant body.....Anyway, Fittipaldi dominated the race, leading almost 150 laps. But he crashed in turn 4, right in front of us, with about 15 laps left. I honestly thought I would be bored to tears, but ended up loving it. It was a fun weekend and a great race. Been there one other time, but that was a guys trip and I don't really remember the race....

How long ago was that? Look at the Miller Lite can in the background...

That’s a tall boy with a checkered flag on it…. Those Hulmans were probably selling us 4 year old beer….. or maybe my buddy was lying and it wasn’t the last year….. stop with the math
LOL!! That beer has a gold top. I love Miller Lite but ones that are old or get hot and then cold get skunky. No way that would be drinkable.
