@PAPA G
good luck with the sale

Trading up? Down? Getting out?

I completed my project and installation of my new A/C manifold. Was able to flush each A/C unit independently with Barnicle Buster.

here are some pics of the project. I moved the A/C units forward to allow for a straight run from the pump to the inlet on the pump.

This is the original factory manifold set up

this is the new manifold. Made out of copper pipe and hose barb fittings on the end.

This is how I mounted it under the battery board. I used 1” starboard and screwed it down to two blocks mounted on each end,

These are pics taken looking from under the batteries back towards the pumps.

Looking at the batteries you cannot even see the valves. It’s very discreet and clean and I can still reach to access underneath.

Hi Shaps, I opted not to solder one to the copper but to attach the ground bonding wire to one of the screws holding down a copper clamp over the pipe.

After several days of driving rain, i've got water in my bilge. Most of it seems to have come through the engine room vents. Do you guys get the same?
I assume there's no real way to prevent this from happening?
Thanks!

Check the air plenum drains.

Thanks Tom.... Please pardon my ignorance but where are they? I haven't even started the engines in 2 weeks!
At least on my boat, there are drain fittings in the bottom and aft in the air plenums. There is a hose from those drain fittings to the common drain pipe. The air plenum is that open space behind the side vent grills.
My air plenums have access hatches located behind the solon seating.

Got it. Will check! Thank you!

I wanted to (hopefully) provide some closure on this boat as we have a purchase agreement and are working hard to get it into my hands! It's in amazing shape, freshwater, and owner seems to be meticulous in his attention to maintance and cleaning. I'd swear that he went over the insides with a toothbrush!

I had a PA on a 52 sedan but a number of things came up in survey and the broker seemed to be playing good cop bad cop with the situation (info just not coming back on the issues). Dealing direct with a passionate owner that loves his boat seems to work a lot better for me.

So I am confused... You are buying PAPA G's boat?

It was finally a nice evening (almost no wind and a very high tide).

Re worked props I feel I picked up almost 2mph at same load.
This is with full fuel and half a tank of fresh water.
