Sea Ray 52 Sedan Bridge Wanted

I think that seawise system would only work on a dinghy with a removable gas tank mine Is built into the floor of the dinghy so the fuel would spill out every time.
And I don’t see how I’d tilt the 40 hp Yamaha over on its side. It also weighs 850lbs not sure I want that weight swinging off the stern in rough waters. And the seaweed system also for west marine dinghy’s not RIB’s I can’t see loading a 850 lbs dinghy on those brackets.

For $30k I would think you could get a GHS lift. Have you called them? I would assume they have all the templates because they put them on from the factory. There is a fair amount of hardware under water but it is all stainless steel so it holds up pretty well. I have had zero issues with mine and it loads and unloads a 800lb dingy in about 3min.
My boat stays up north so I don’t have the warm water growth to deal with but I paint the SS with Trilux and keeps most of the growth off of it. The water temps are low to mid 70s for 3 months where I keep the boat.

Dock mate had GHS travel to TN, cut extended platform of 55DB and add GHS lift for $35K.

Falls under "How to convert a 55DB to a 58DB"!

Did it in 4 days and looks identical to mine...

I have clients and friends with both. Here are some of the pics from their websites. The Seawise only requires the dinghy to be lifted opposite the side of the fuel tank vent. The engine automatically tilts with this system.

The Seaweed davit is for much more substantial RIB's, not just an inflatable floor boat. I have a friend with a 12.5 Novurania on his with a 40 HP four stroke.

I’ll be honest, I hate the look of those systems that are attached to the platform I’d definitely spend the $$ and add a hydraulic platform plus you get a dance floor!!!

I have a GHS system on the current boat and had the Seaweed rig on our previous boat. The GHS is far neater and you can retrieve the tender from either side provided you remember to raise/tilt the outboard. But I sometimes struggle with the GHS to position the dinghy (Walker Bay Genesis console 30hp Nissan) in exactly the right spot on the cradle. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.
The Seaweed system is far easier, one hook to retrieve and crank it up, but I don't remember such a steep angle as in that video. It is a high quality product with perfect stainless welds. It self-centers, but only from the one side. I had an early version with manual crank which was quite easy. Later versions also had quick disconnects so you could remove the hardware when not being used. The keel of the dinghy is over the "Seaweed", aft of your swim platform so much of your platform is still usable.
Pros and cons: Seaweed is easier for retrieval; GHS is invisible but the beeping sounds like a garbage truck in reverse.

I did the same. FBS came to Charlevoix, spent 6 days doing it, and I’ve never looked back - it’s one of the few boat mods that are clearly worth every penny.

And as for the 500/52 DB - yes, FBS/GHS has all the rigging and underwater brackets to fit up under the unique molded hull/swim platform on that model. I had a 2005 500DB prior to my 550, and the prior owner had the lift installed on it. It really makes the boat 100% improved, and on the 500/52, you end up with double size, huge, swim platform!

But to the OP's desire - the 52DB's transom is about 4 feet forward and two feet deeper due to the lazerette extending all the way back which entails quite a structural assembly as well as significant internal reinforcement. The quotes I was getting from Freedom and SeaLift were a good 20% higher than other SR's. I really wanted the Freedom Lift but cost and the underwater issues drove me another direction.
