Phil S, When I worked for Marinemax as a delivery Captain, I delivered a lot of your boat and also the 280DA's and Amberjacks with stern drives. What I found was that is not an easy boat to control due to the relatively small size of the props on the stern drives (low torque) as compared to an inboard of the same size. That said, what I used to teach people was if it is a slick calm day with no wind or tide, and you want to practice twin screwing the boat into the slip then it will probably be ok, but is more of a novelty. As soon as there is any wind blowing or tide running, it is best to treat that boat like it is a single screw. I know that sounds contrary to what you might have heard, but I delivered probably 50 of them, and trust me, that is what works. If you need more explanation, let me know. Hope it helps. - Capt. Kenny
