Official 380 Thread

Hi everybody,
Just looking for some info I just bought my boat this year and it seems the rudder position on my smart craft is not working wondering where I might get a replacement solenoid for it
Thanks in advance

I did 14 cushions with SEM for my son's Yamaha AR190 we rescued from Hurricane Irma in 2017. $220 in paint, zero in labor. The paint job took a few days, and lasted about 2 years. The vinyl cracked anyways, and the seams split anyways. 4K later, we have all brand new cushions in the boat.

Thanks, looking to get a season out of it. Thinking that the labor shortage and etc will stabilize somewhat and we can get them done next fall or winter. Shoulda done it this last winter...

Thank you techmitch just ordered it

So about 18 months ago we were driving around and saw a sign for Marine Upholstery. Didn't take our cushions from the 380 there but in hindsight, maybe we should have. Oh well, water under the bridge. The cushions for the tender including the new one for the bow seat is $325 and 10 days. The place that does the parts for Walker Bay wants $829 and 4 weeks.

So I am happy to go local and they also can do the repairs and mods on the canvas on the 380.

Pretty happy right now. I will be posting pictures soon!

Cheers!

What color is the seadek? I am thinking of doing dark gray and midnight black. The updates look really good nice job!

It is grey and black for sure. I am not sure what the color names are but I can check. I just went to the upholstery shop that did the carpet, Seadek, and my new seats and picked out everything off the swatches and sample boards they had.

When I bought my 38, the rudder position was not working because the arm that connects the sensor to the rudder was missing. Do you have all parts in place?

I finally found the part I was missing online. Check out this thread, too.

No, they should all be the same. There can be polarity issues, if they don’t work one way, switch them.

Thanks Chris. I should have been more clear. The trouble I had was just trying to get the bulbs into the gauges themselves.

All the same on mine, that’s odd. I know some of mine had separate bases(like your new ones) and some were all one piece. Good luck

another question i have is what is the best way to get rid of the black spots on. the non slip surfaces on the bow

Thank you just ordered it
This is the brush head I use for the non skid areas

Hello my 2006 38 with 8.1HO is also doing the same thing. What is the fix? I have tried so many things. Ron

Did you go through the main grounds on your engine block? I thought I was having an issue, so I pulled all the grounds on my starboard motor, cleaned the terminals and put star locking washers and no-ox between each of the terminal rings as I re-installed them. There is 7 ground rings on the block... not the best design imo
Were you having the single beep issue with gauge and smart craft reset?

My starboard engine will do the same thing. Usually at startup, the engine cranks and then about 15-20 seconds there will be one beep, the gauges all turn off and the engine stumbles. Immediately, the engine goes back to normal and the gauges restart. It's almost like the ignition turns off and immediately back on. The smartcraft doesn't show an alarm or malfunction code.
????
Sam did you ever figure out your issue with the single beep and gauge reset?
Ron

Hello Rob.
My name is Ron and I have the exact same boat with the same issue. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?
Ron
