So you got yourself COVID vaccine. Think you can’t get COVID? Think again.

I think the crap is going to hit the fan this summer...if they continue on with the mask, double mask, nonsense I see a revolution forthcoming.

I agree with your line of thinking, but suspect it may be a moot point for quite a while.

My reason for that suspicion is that around my area most if not all businesses no longer say masks required BECAUSE the state says so, they just say masks required to enter. Unfortunately that then falls to personal property rights, and they can refuse you entry over it.

Hopefully we’re both wrong.

Meanwhile in Florida. LIBERTY!

(not sure why it’s upside down ). This pic will look correct after about 10 more of these.

The market will drive that one. Once one place removes their masks, others will follow or lose business to them. The business owners I know are so over with masks.

I agree
I’m one of them
But, there’s a bunch of old libt@rd ones around here that drive around in their car alone with a mask.

People we know are all verified they will die if they get near anyone or touch a shopping cart. It is the media that seems to want to report sensational items. The number of cases get reported like battle casualties. Deaths are not mentioned in the media most of the time. If there is a nursing home with a large death rate it will be mentioned. It is very hard to find and I have never seen it posted daily. Confirmed new cases, new hospitalized infected, new ICU deaths for the day. If death and hospital rates were to be posted people would feel safe I feel.

This one is for El Capwhatever

Got jabbed today and am still alive. Never even felt the tracker go in. :p:D:p:p:D

Although yours is the common thinking, this is incorrect. Stores and restaurants etc. are public places. Unless you're breaking a law, and I don't mean a "mandate" by the ones that think they can sidestep the constitution, they can't force you to leave. LEOs that show up, if they do, are not following the oaths they took if they escort someone out or arrest them.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but here in Michigan if I tell someone to leave my property, and that includes commercial, if they don’t they ARE in violation of the law. Penalties can include both fines as well as jail time. Same rules apply in Texas as well and I suspect other states.

Correct - once you are asked to leave and you refuse, you become a trespasser and the law will treat you as such.

No bubble bursting here... You know how many "laws" are currently in violation of the Constitution? The number is staggering. I lived in Michigan. With the Queen that leads you, nothing surprises me there anyway.

What’s any of that have to do with it?

That law has been around better than 50 years. It certainly does not violate the constitution, those who need it applied to are violating the property owners right.

The SAD thing is it had to be MADE a law.

A person’s property is THEIR property and they get to make the rules.

When it's private property, yes. I completely agree with you. If I own a restaurant or other business that is a public place and I decide that I don't like the looks of someone or any other reason that I single them out for ejection then it's different.

Never seen the signs that say “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone”?

Yes, sometimes there may be some discrimination happening, but most of the time it would be more along lines of a bar not serving someone who came in drunk, or how about a store that prohibits CCW.? Here in Michigan, a sign on the door does not carry force of law, but if it is found you are carrying and do not leave when told/asked you face charges.

Like it or not, businesses open to the public (in most cases) are still private property. Don’t like their rules? Too bad, or take your business elsewhere. Remember, though, that they may well face repercussions for their rules/signs/attitudes etc. As an example, I personally will not patronize businesses that post signs praising Gov. Whitless’ “rules” for Covid-19.

You and I think more alike than it first appeared I suspect, but... When you open a business to the public you're inviting the public in. With that comes a different set of rules than a home owner and private property. I'm not talking about a private club either. They should be allowed to discriminate and only allow in who they want.

I suspect you’re right about being similar in our thinking.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree about what “open to public” means.

There are many exceptions to the rights of private property for a business owner. ADA rules. Another obvious exception to private property rights for a business Open to the Public is the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The case of masks is a little trickier.

For those of us who stepped to the plate, bared our arms and took our shots, I saw something a few days ago that I'll pass on.

Instead of carrying your vaccination card in your wallet or purse, take a photo of both side with your phone and keep you card home in a safe place where it won't get damaged.

There's your tip for the day.

Thank you GFC! Great tip.
I’ll add one. It still has a few kinks that I’ll work out today.

If you hold your beer as opposed to setting it down in the sand, you’re less likely to get sand in it.
