Looks great. I am so jealous of indoor storage. I priced it out and would have been $18k for indoor winter storage at the marina I am at for the winter.

Damn, I just glad u can afford that. Mine stays in the water year round on the ohio river for $3420.
However I will hire out the buff polish wax job.

What town are you in? I may be able to recommend a restaurant.

I am at Waldo’s in Port Clinton... it’s closing at 8:00. Not a lot open this time of year....

My god... people pay that ?.... I am pissed off at $4,200
Some people do but I wouldn’t. They have the inside storage full each winter. Some Hinckley’s and Vikings inside but Mostly winter project that’s the yard is working on such as repowers I suspect.

What? Not staying on the boat? ;)
This is a pet peeve.... we have to be out of the building at 4:30.. There is another place not far from here that is $1,500 more but you can stay as long as you want.... they say if you want to wax at 2:00 in the morning and fall asleep.... not much they can do

I’m sure by 4:30 you’re happy to call it a days work and head out of there. I enjoy the process but I’m spent after a day

Looks great so far. Been there done that! I've stayed on a the boat a few times in winter. I don't think they "allow" it but then again who's there to enforce it @ midnight? We pay $3800 and it irritates me just as much- I pay less for a slip when I can actually use it! I use a an oil heater in the salon so it's nice and warm for sleeping the night- piece and quite actually. Wish I could still take on buffing and waxing but there always seems to be other things on my priority list so I usually hire it out.

What products are you using??

I wasn’t going to say anything until I get to the blue hull. This year everything is new so don’t know how it’s going to perform over the summer.
Here’s what I am trying.... To compound I am using Sonax Cutmax...it’s a German product and gets great reviews ..you can google YouTube vids comparing it to other products...more popular in automotive, very low dust. Using a rotary with a 3M compound wool pad at 1,800 rpm. In that pic I posted it’s hard to tell but the very top is original...I just compounded the side
To polish this year I am trying Collinites product but I am using a rotary with a 3M wool polishing pad instead of an orbital and a foam pad.
To wax I am using collinite 885
Also trying something new with the non skid. Jescar Power lock plus, it’s a polymer applied after you polish, then wax over with Collinite 885

Everything is open on Catawba and in Port Clinton and most are open later than that, even during the week.

If you're still around I would suggest The Orchard, Gideon Owen, Twin Oast, McCarthy's, 1812, Cleats, Casa Las Palmas, Ciao Bella, The Que and a few others that I'm probably not thinking of at the moment.

Enjoy.
