Jeffery, Does that hide away unit have all the zones like the 770 does? For me I wanted the flexibility of zone control.

Got my props back from precision propeller y'day. Look great. Will report back once we are splashed.

Nice, just serviced or modified?

Serviced. My port set was perfect, just had them cleaned up. One blade on the 3 blade prop from my stbd side had a small abrasion that needed to be repaired. I did that about 2 weeks before I hauled it for the season....

Aml327,

I got the Maretron J1939 to NK2 adaptor and the harness (Maretron NMEA 2000 Adapter Micro female to Deutsche 12 Pin 2 M Cordset (J2K100 Accessory) MCF-2M-D12) you showed. I am confused about which jumper to cut and which jumper to repair. Your photos confuse me a little. So let me ask this way W2 open or close? W5 open or close?

Next in Toms post he talks about adding resistors to the smartcraft plugs? Did you do this?

You also talk about making connections to the smart craft harness at the helm...why? I thought this Maretron harness just plugs into the deutsche connector on the NIM and then into the J1938 adaptor which then goes to the N2K network. What would I need to do at the helm smart craft hubs?

Repair 5 cut 2. The fix on 2 should not of been posted if it was. That was false info from an Onan tech when I was trying to figure this out. Only terminal end resistors on my nmea back bone which I’m sure you already have.

Only connection at helm is to connect new vessel view. So yes connect Maretron wire to nmea backbone.I then ordered an adapter that connects to the nmea network and transports info to my lap top which a Maretron tech took over remotely and aloud the vv and genset to communicate properly. I have all genset data on vv and garmins except for engine hrs. Stand by for name of the Maretron adapter.

I believe this was it I will go to boat today and find out for sure. It was a few years ago and I might of been one of the first to do this so it was trial and error. Long story short it works.

On a side note have you installed a vv mobile. It’s pretty cool to have.

No, not something I feel I need. Now if I came across one for cheap I am sure I would grab it.

Jeffry. I’m curious where you are putting the cockpit wireless fusion remotes? I have one black for down below and two whites for up top. Haven’t stuck them yet. Decision decisions...

Grant. $100 for all 4 or $100 each? Think I paid 180 from Marinemax for all four and hardware.

Great question! I only have two Fusion remotes. I stuck one on the transom shower door, right above the opening latch. I did this so in the future, I wouldn't have to mess with the gelcoat finish if I wanted to replace it. I can just replace the shower door if it doesn't come off clean. The second one I plan to put in place of the old Clarion remote on the starboard side above the couch...the original location.....That is, if I can figure out how to get the old Clarion remote off. My arm isn't long enough to reach it from the above access panel and from the below speaker hole, access is blocked by the arch support. The new Fusion puck remote is smaller than the hole the Clarion remote leaves so I ordered 3" and 4" Starboard circle's to cover the Clarion hole and then I'll just stick the new Fusion remote to it. Any suggestions on getting the old Clarion remote out? I'm going to try and get my GF to do it..she'll complain about her nails getting messed up but she needs to take one for the team! Her arms are like toothpicks so se may be able to reach it with a wrench.

Ok. Get ready for this. I busted it out. Usually I’m very diplomatic about how I do things but not this time. It left me no choice! Then put white cover over it and installed a fused switch straight to battery to operate 2 led lights in hardtop that I can leave on with power totally shut down. You know when you forget you wallet and car keys and it’s dark. I might move that switch and put it under the switch by the transom door and put fusion remote where switch is now.
