Wintertime entertainment

The one at 4:47 is actually pretty ingenious, looks like something someone here would build to load their dinghy onto the swim platform!
I thought the same thing.

aesthetically it’s not too pleasing and look out around low bridges but as far as function it’s a winner.

No doubt, but that doesn’t stop them from cobbling aircraft out of junk.

My favorites are the ones where they just shed parts on the runway until they collapse in a heap.

Occasionally one will actually fly.

Some of these remind me of my dad growing up. He couldn't afford a pick up truck, we had a late '60s Volkswagen bug or beetle, whatever it was called two door little thing. He was converting a wooden party fishing boat into an oyster boat. He welded the boom, mast, the tongs, the metal tray the tongs dropped the oysters onto, the rear end out of a pickup truck used for hoisting the tongs and all the cables himself. Then he had to haul them to the boat. He strapped all of them on that little VW. I helped him and I thought for sure the darn thing was going to flip going down the road but it never did. He hauled everything in that darn little thing.

Those old VW bugs were tough. That guy in the video was a great driver.
