Here's a picture of the interior. Does anyone know how the filler cushion works? Does the one from the forward sofa become the filler cushion?
The owner said he has the filler cushion at home. Found a pair of 3 blade SS props under the floor, and the boat has 4 blade aluminium ones on it now. Thinking someone was trying to squeeze as much as possible out of the 4.3’s
Survey is decent and negotiations have started. I will post when deal is done. After that we wait for the cold weather to leave.
So I went and looked at the 1998 290 today. It has Plan B cabin and the wife and I could fit in the kidney shaped forward berth just fine. Does the dinette sofa convert to a bed as well? The salesman didn't seem to know.
We did a sea trial, and it ran along great. Has the dual 4.3, not as snappy as my 250 with a single 5.7, but man that newer hull design is so much more stable, it's incredible!
Nice boat needed a couple of tarps and a good cleaning, but decently equipped (windlass, heat/ac, brand new GPS etc). Probably will be putting an offer in on it.

Closing the deal tomorrow. 1998 with twin 4.3, 965 hrs. Windlass, heat and a/c, new gps, clean survey and good compression test. Cockpit vinyl is very nice. Needs Bimini tops done and I plan to service the outdrives with new impellers and bellows in the spring.
Here are some obligatory pics.

Were you able to reach a good WOT rpm with the 4 blade??fastest was with 14x19 3 blade stainless merc vengeance
my best cruising prop was a 14x20 4 blade aluminum quicksilver. 1.3mpg at around 3300/28mph

I will take them... good starting point...By the way if anyone wants those props let me know, I still have them and aside from a little dried algae they’re perfect. As long as shipping to your location isn’t crazy I’d sell them for $150 shipped (for both) I think they were like 120 each or so.
you might need hubs, I’d have to check but I think I gave the hubs to the new owner

Thanks. I appreciate it.sounds good. I’ll pull them out of the shed tomorrow and grab a couple pics and see if they have hubs. I’ll PM you
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Any suggestions for propane grill & mount? Hoping to pay around $500 max. I’d like to mount it on the rail above the transom locker. Thanks!

Thanks Ryan. I thought about pedestal mount too. I think I even saw a pic of yours at one point. We just had the new SeaDek installed, and don’t really want to put the hole in the swim platform.I had the magma with pedestal mount and will be doing the same on our new boat. I thought about that rail as well but it was going to be too close to the backrest on the back bench seat
