48 DA Owners Club

Thanks @ocgrant
You truly got a lot done. How did the new vesselview install go? Have you been out since you put in the new MFDs?

@jeffrey vargas
Those look great. Your bottom came out clean too! How do you like the propspeed?
Well... got the mock up finished. Now need to nest it, re-enforce it and gel coat before I take it to Sam at Technografics to have it Hydro-dipped to match the other panel. This was a lot of work so far, had to basically take my workshop to the dock to cut and fit. Now back home and over the next couple of weekends I will finish. Since I travel all week I only have weekends to work on it. Good news is I am home for Thanksgiving week so I should be able to have it done by then....I hope, I hate my boat being all apart.

When Technografics does these, do they have a job number or order number in case another 48 owner, like me wanted to get this done? Of course the equipment would have to be the same.... I'll say it again, your new equipment looks outstanding!

Yes, they keep it by boat model and store all the CAD files incase someone wants one made for specific equipment.

If the gray center is in good shape I would be interested in it. I don’t care if the wood is damaged or the chrome. Would you sell it? What do you want for it?

Was in Jersey all week but back in SoFlo all holiday week so want to get this ready to take to Sam to hydro dip. Spent today doing finish work. Hoping to spray gel coat tomorrow at some point.

Great work @ocgrant !

If you're moving the audio to that panel, what is the plan for the hole left in the console?

No, the audio stays below and has a new panel for it to cover the old Clarion hole since it needs to move a little. Top is for the Auto Pilot control (Left) and the Two Raymarine SD card Readers (Right). Panels are ready hoping to meet with Sam at Technografics tomorrow to drop them off.

I think I am going to keep it for when/if I sell the boat.

Did you happen to make two sets of those panels? lol...Great job!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
Anyone run into problems hooking up to storage power w/110 splitter? Have feeling I know the answer but wondered why I cannot get 2 legs of 110 power to run some sort of charging power. Does the system require minimum 50 amps to operate?

You need two different legs of 110V power. It cannot be drawn from the same gang outlet must be separate breakers you are plugging into. Ask me how I know...

Thanks for the expert advice. I will try it this week if this storage has two different legs of power for wall plugs.
Was thinking it had to be something like that.

Jeffery, did you ever find the part numbers for the brackets that hold the fuel line update? I want to order those.
