Colored fabric gets hot as hellWhat’s the reason?
The 37 has the seats on a very short pedestal, mounted on top of a cabinet. They do move fore and aft.The angled settee cushions are being done now, so no pictures yet. I know I took pictures of the Stidds but can’t find them. They may be still be on one of the chips for the camera. I’ll post them sooner or later. Does the 37 have pedestal seats or ones added onto the cabinets?
I'll just say that colored VINYL in summer feels like the surface of the sun. Colored fabric like Sunbrella isn't nearly as bad. I had striped tan Sunbrella seat that somewhat surprisingly didn't get uncomfortably hot.Colored fabric gets hot as hell
...change the pattern of the stitching. Kind of like this lounger. It is still basic while but stitching gives it some style.
The diamond pattern is nice, however if it's stitched (to create the pattern) - any concerns with water seeping through? I only see quilted diamond patterns that are stitched. Depending on the seat design, if you can add a slight angle, and omit any type of raised edge - this would assist with water runoff. Just trying to think this through.
Not on a bridge boat I also think vinyl gets hotter than ultraleather our seats have never been hot.Colored fabric gets hot as hell

This guy had no problem with them.

Do you know the names of these colors?View attachment 95195 View attachment 95189 View attachment 95190 View attachment 95191 This is a huge project unless your a pro seamstress. We had ours done to update them here’s the colors for reference. As you can see the Capt chair has the Furuno auto pilot built into the arm (pure laziness) the colors look great against the Blue Hull. I re-read your post I dont know why I thought you wanted to do the work my apologies.
Ps. We also had Velcro cushioned pads made for the hard top support where guests always hit their heads. Just an idea to think about

Steve, I looked over my receipts and all I found was the primary color is called “Barro” PN 421-3270 with “Caro Harmony” 410-3225 piping. covers are “ toast weathermax” All materials are UV Ultraleather hope this helps
You are fortunate that SR did a good job with the selections. We redid the entire seating in the salon of our brand new 1993 EC. SR went through various phases in the 80s and 90s where some atrocious "cool" patterns were used. We replaced the original black and white zebra style sofa fabric with a neutral contrast to the rest of the cabin. It looked far better than what the factory installed. The boat sat in the dealer show room for close to two years in part due to the ugly interior, and also due to the Carter luxury tax.I redid our cockpit, helm etc..... we opted to keep it original. My thinking there was resale. I just didn’t want to take a chance on not appealing to the masses. Sea Ray did a good job of that...in my opinion
I redid mine about 4 years now I think it adds value to the boatView attachment 95168View attachment 95169View attachment 95170View attachment 95171View attachment 95172
