Do any of you reuse your Barnacle Buster or Prep & Etch? I just flushed my salon ac line for two hours as my water flow had noticeably slowed. Worked great but it sure seems like I could easily reuse it rather than just dump it. I hate adding waste to this planet. Will it still have the same punch to it the second time around?

I am certainly not a chemist, but my background says that once used a significant portion of the effectiveness Will be consumed so the question becomes is there enough potency for another treatment.

New owner of 2001 380. Can you explain more about how you flushed the AC’s? I would like to do this on my two AC’s

I do the continuous treatment method, though I have Little experience with barnacles. I keep a hot tub bromine tablet in my air conditioner strainer constantly to kill biological growth that will plug our AC up north. I replace weekly.

put some copper pieces in there and you won’t have to replace for a long time.

Mind expanding on your technique?
I have some copper elbows from the hardware store in my strainer. Filled up about halfway. My diver told me about it and it works great. You know what’s in bottom paint, right? I have zero growth now. Just muck that I have to backflush every now and then. I’ve been told bromine and chlorine tabs are hard on the AC piping.

I don't have the barnacles that the copper works for, I fight muck...
