‘06 300DA front hatch is leaking. It drips out of the front left corner even for a long time after rain stops. I’m going to replace the gasket tomorrow. Can anyone confirm that’s likely to be the problem as I’m worried I might have to reseal the whole hatch to deck? Thanks.

If it's original, not a bad idea to remove all the hatches and rebed them with LifeCalk.

I have an '07 and when she's hauled out in two months, will be rebedding mine as preventative maintenance. Before it goes back in, I'll be adding some West Systems epoxy, sealing the balsa coring.

Resealing the whole hatch is very easy to do. These hatches are easily removed and you will very likely save yourself headaches in the future by sealing the balsa core edges and protecting them from rot. Rot around hatches is a common but easily prevented issue. Do the right thing.

I had a similar problem years ago. I found that lubricating the gasket with plumber's grease (silicone, not petroleum) cured my problem. It allowed the gasket to move with the deck and hatch lid when flexing.
